    Yeah. I see.

Gator fans Saturday could be a great day during Army All American game. 3 five star (depending on site for star ratings) prospects will choose and Florida being a finalist.
Ronald Powell DE from Cali will choose between Florida and USC. He has been dominating OT's at practice and even abused #1 rated player in the country Seantrel Henderson OT (may be headed to FL but I think Ohio State). My prediction is he will be a Gator. I am about 80% positive.

Sharrif Floyd a Dt from Penn. will also make his choice. He plays on a different team than Powell. Powell dominating west while Floyd dominating the east. No one can handle Floyd and hi bull rush has made ppl look really silly. Floyd will choose between Florida, Ohio State, and outside looking in is UNC. My prediction is Ohio State. 50% positive. This guy is so hard to read cause he tells ppl nothing. He has mentioned things to point to Florida and to Ohio State. Everyone that he was Penn State bound but he dropped them a couple of months ago.

Matt Elam S from Florida. Guy has all the skills to play saftey and will be amazing, But news with him has nothing to do with play. He committed to Florida months ago and flirted with other schools but made a visit and said he was all Gator. Meyer made his annoucement and Elam bolted to FSU. Elam said he was at the right place and recruiting was over. Urban calls him up and talks about faith and Elam admitted he was in tears. Yesterday he decommitted from FSU and said Florida leads with FSU 3rd. My prediction is Florida 65% however Georgia is hanging around because of there saftey depth. Elam is a early enrollee so he will be in class at whatever school he chooses on Monday. So saturday will be his final choice.

If anyone has any questions on Florida recruiting (or anyone else) post in here or pm me. I would be glad to help.

It has been a big day for Gator recruiting .Apparently Meyer has been working the phone incessantly.

Sharif Floyd who was a Buckeye lean has declared for the Gators in the Army All star game .

Its expected that Ronald Powell who has been dominating the game and also scored a TD as a TE on offense will also declare for UF later on.Great pick up.

Matt Elan also appears to be declaring for the Gators although he has waffled a lot .
This is according to his brother.

    http://www.abeelam.com/latestnews.html

They are all 4 or 5 star rated.

    UPDATE.

All 3 declared for the Gators.

Ronald Powell was named MVP of the game.

There are two all star High School games and both games featured DL MVP's and both going to Florida. Thats not even mentioning Floyd or the othertop prospects on the Dline. This could be one of the greatest Dlines in the history of college football

Tim Tebow playing in the Pro Bowl and will be coached by the Miami Dolphins staff.

    http://www.gatorsports.com/article/20100109/NEWS/100109547/1136?Title=Tebow-to-play-in-Senior-Bowl

The Gators only have 1 spot left unless someone does not qualify academically. There has been alot of talk about getting a USC recruit or even the best prospect in the country OT Seantrel Henderson

BIG day for Verbal commits. Here's to hoping they all sign on the dotted line on signing day!!!!

I know Elam is supposed to enroll early, so he will be a mute point (IF he enrolls).

Jordan Hicks will be offered the spot first. Urban and the coaches know about who will qualify so we may take more than one. Prater just decommitted from USC and he may be possible. Dillion Baxter who won player of the year said he would be interested in Florida cause of USC situation

I am pretty sure I read that we only have one more spot available. Correct? Because of that new SEC rule on the max number of recruits each year!?

Theoretically the limit is 28 for the SEC .We have 24 comits up to this point.

We may get more juniors declaring for the draft and that would open some more spots.Plus there are some voodoo economics involving rollbacks, early enrollments etc which no one really understands which can bloat those numbers.

Last years class was relatively small so that will help getting the scholarships up to 85 which is the limit.

Florida center Maurkice Pouncey said Monday he will enter the NFL draft, but added his twin brother Mike plans to stay in school, possibly taking over his position, ESPN college football reporter Joe Schad reported.

Maurkice Pouncey is rated as the No. 2 junior prospect at center by ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. Mike Pouncey plays guard for the Gators and is rated the No. 3 junior at that position by Kiper.

The Pouncey twins had previously said they would likely stay or leave Florida together.

Early entrees are allocated to the prior year class and the statistics regarding APR / recruit GPA averages etc also.........for instance Elam and his GPA/Test scores for tracking purposes are allocated to the 09 class and not the 2010 class since he will enroll before the before completion of the 2009-2010 school year.....the SEC rule will not mean ioda in this situation. The big talk that may hurt UF is the admission on non qualified walk ons as exceptions and that has gotten the attention of the SEC and NCAA especially at UF AND two schools in the general geography of west of New Orleans and north of Mobile.

Florida is making three early enrollees count for last years class which opened up the extra spots. NCAA rules only allow 25 scholly's a year. The SEC allows 28 total no matter how many you push back to the previous year with Early enrollee.

WR Adrian Coxson decommitted from Penn State and there is a good chance he will be a Gator. Jesse Scroggins was told there will always be a spot for him (USC committ that Florida was after. Elite QB). This link will help list the possible choices for us. No shock Prater is listed.

    http://recruiting.blogs.gatorsports.com/10321/elite-prospects-still-on-ufs-wish-list/

Also not listed was Xavier Gimble who is rated as the top TE in this class may be interested in Florida. Been hearing that Jordan Hicks is Texas bound. Michael Taylor caused alot of stir during the previous weekend as he was a mystery recruit on campus. News is that there is a good chance he will be a Gator and thats great cause he is also a Vol commit.

Kiffin going to USC will shake up the recruiting .Most of the USC comits will probably stick. Scroggins (USC) is sticking to his commitment, as is Kyle Prater who will enroll at USC in the coming days.Apparently we did not have a scholly for QBs Hendrix (ND) .

We can only hope that Powell sticks with his commitment to UF.He is now rated the No 1 recruit in the nation in Rivals,Scout and ESPN with Easley rated No 3.

A Vol recruit may have changed his mind and could be commiting to the Gators.

I read on the GSMB that there are plenty in Cali that aren't pleased with this choice. Looks like ncaa sanctions are coming their way. Lane being chosen can't help their recruiting at this point in time. He is just a continuation of Sneaky Pete. Seems as though they are just piling trouble on trouble with the problems Lane will bring with him.

USC class will stick together but they wont get Powell. Powell was going to be a Gator and it had nothing to do with Carroll leaving. Vol recruits are scatering and it should be interesting to see where they go.

Crunh i beat u to the Michael Taylor punch. He was going to be a Gator before Kiffin left. Ambles who is a very talented will not be a Gator because he will not get a offer.
Hendrix wanted to commit to Florida but the Gators did not have room for him.

Mack Brown has canceled all other visits but Demar Dorsey will visit FSU, maybe TN, and FL

That's the way I feel on game day against any of our SEC rivals. I'm an old school traditionalist, and hate to see UT or any of our SEC rivals fall on hard times. We are the best conference because of the fierce competition and pride being in the SEC brings. I want to see UT rise back to the top again and beat the hell out of everyone but UF. Same goes for Bama, Auburn, Georgia ect.

Christian Jones will visit Florida this weekend
