I just got done watching him on tape. Man did he get manhandled. He struggles at the POA, doesn't always shed cleanly, his hand use is average and his quickness is inconsistent off the line IMO. He's got nice wheels laterally and a good motor but he doesn't impress me. I've watched him twice this year and I see the same thing. I like his teammate, Lawrence Wilson, as a down hill linebacker and a late round pick. Wilson's got some nice athleticism, solid range, and does a nice job through trash. However, he hits high and is all downhill; he's uncomfortable in coverage and almost looks new to it. I've seen him line up on the defensive line a few times too.

Bugs me that Mike Hicks, the RT of UCONN, is not on the list. I want to see him against more competition. He doesn't look bad at all late in the draft IMO. You could probably slide him in at right guard, as he's probably a phone booth player in the future. Doesn't have the quickness to get out to the second level consistently and handle pass rushers, though I must admit he fared well against George Selvie and Jason Pierre Paul earlier this year IMO. He's very strong, he needs to work on some things and get his hands off his hips, as he tends to do that and he'll allow the pass rusher into his body. Intriguing prospect IMO. Looking at more of him, maybe he can play right tackle. He's got strong hands and he moves his feet well laterally. His footwork going in reverse can sometimes be an issue but it's not too bad. He's got a lot of starts at UCONN too I believe.

Also watched some more JPP today. He's not much of a leaner it seems. Does a lot of knee bending.

Did UConn's Marcus Easley happen to make it?

He has nice blend of size and speed but was a walkon.

I don't see him on there but I like him quite a bit. He's got some good hands on him as well as speed. He's not afraid to take hits and has some decent vision in the open field.

Easley I would have thought he'd gotten an invite - Price too.

Maybe they'll be in the Texas vs the Nation etc?

Yep, normally the Shrine Bowl is more of midlevel prospect event, there are some players who could go in Rd 2, maybe late 1.

I'll be waiting for your impression of Greg Hardy the Football player not the guy we read stuff about, if he is what I think he is, he should embarass some Tackles.

Torell Troup Defensive Tackle University of Central Florida Conyers, GA

He is a guy to watch. I know he didn't get the attention he deserved this season, but being a UCF fan for the past 3 years I can honestly say he is a beast. He clogged up the middle and took on double teams most of the year; he heloed both of our DE's (Bruce Miller, and Jarvis Geathers) each get over 10 sacks this season and our run defense was like 3rd or 4th in the nation. Troup has a good head on his shoulders and as of now I expect him to be drafted around the 3rd round. I however am not sure if he would fit our defensive scheme... That being said I just looked up his stats and he is 6'3 and a lean 320, I wonder if he could be that 3-4 Nose we might be looking for?

Heres a little about him: http://www.nfldraftbible.com/Players/List/2010-Big-Board/Torrell-Troup.html

Me too!! My God his talent and body are absolutely perfect for what we need, but he has serious red flags in my book. Enough so that he could be totally taken off our draft board, his inconsistancy and lack of effort at times will just drive you nuts.

Well, imho Sparano spending 2 yrs with ricky williams has primed him to deal with a player like Hardy.

We are in a tough spot heading into 2010 UCF, we have needs on both sides of the ball, OLB/ILB/Te/NT/S let alone Wr.

Basically we have to find 3 starters at least this offseason, maybe 4.
