 That's because it's like watching NFL football after going to watch an 8 man HS game.

Hey Flair just showed up. Sweet. I like Flair, just keep him out of the ring.

By the way, it looks to me like the six sided cage has gotten BIGGER. Which is a good thing as it always looked small and indy-ish to me.

Just so people are aware, most indy circuit rings are 16 feet wide/long. WWE's is tradionally 18 and is now 20 if I remember correctly. It doesn't seem like it would; mean much, but it does. Running the ropes is actually a pretty precise act, and when the ring gets bigger...it takes some getting used to. An extra step or two throws off the timing and possibly footwork of certain moves.

If the ring IS bigger tonight (not sure), you might see a little bit of misfires in the ring. ODB just beat Tara for the Knockout title. Meh. Classic TNA over former WWE Diva.

And Ric Flair debuts. Again, TNA is TRYING.

I've got the added bonus of being able to flip to ROH during TNA commercials. Thus far ROH has TNA beat in terms of in-ring action, with 2 pretty good matches. And ROH has Jim Cornette, because we needed more names from the 80s and 90s on my TV tonight.

I don't know ... the days of Flair being any kind of legit draw are long gone, IMO ... same for Hogan.

Then again, maybe 2010 is the time for nostalgia and they do huge business, who knows.

I feel they should have had a larger venue so that some of these surprise appearances would get a bigger pop. Also i think they could of introduced them a little better .

ROH is a great INDY that has gotten a couple of lucky breaks. I enjoy their product, it sucks that Nigel and Danielson (who helped train yours truly) were raided and anyone else will be since they don't have exclusive contracts.

I expected Lashley to be prominent tonight as will ANY former WWE name as they try to dig in and needle the WWE.

Kristal is the hottest women in wrestling, by far. Good golly.

the reason I said that was I heard Vince offered him some sort of contract to keep him from TNA however it was for an out of ring role. I guess Flair has plans to wrestle.

I actually was exposed to McGuinness and Danielson over the summer. Hope they both do well in TNA and WWE, respectively.

I'm actually watching the ROH Main Event, Davey Richards vs. Roderick Strong. Pretty solid match such far.

Austin Ariea may be the best wrestler on the planet right now. The guy plays the BEST heel in the world right now. Brilliant.

Roderick Strong is good too. I always felt he got a raw deal in TNA, but he is probably in better standing with ROH right now.

    So, right now we have:
    Ric Flair
    Jeff Hardy
    Shannon Moore
    Scott Hall
    Sean Waltman
    Hulk Hogan

I am sure we will see more and they are obviously keeping Hogan for the top of th ehour to try to counter Bret Hart. Any guesses on who else we'll see?

Ken Anderson seems like a shoe in.

Man Scott Hall and Sean Waltman look ROUGH ... the years have not been kind to them. And now another commercial? You kidding me?

This is the absolute worst thing TNA could have done. 1 bad gimmick match and 1 women's match in the first hour of the show ... there's a reason I don't watch this show.

ROH, on the other hand, had a pretty solid hour of TV, of which 75% of it was focused in the ring.

They should have Hogan's return shortly before the 9:00p hour ... that way folks would stay tuned in. As it is, I'm probably turning to USA at the top of the hour, regardless of what happens on TNA.

Okay ... so Hogan is rocking the "tweener" beard, wearing black ... Nash, Hall, and Waltman all at the arena. Why do I get the sinking feeling we're about to see a new version of the nWo?

Seeing Bret in a WWE is just so surreal. Bret does look like he has quite a few miles on the tires.

Seeing Bret in the ring with HBK is absolutely insane. Time heals all wounds, I guess.

It's like I woke up in 1996 again. Except that my wrestling heroes are all older, fatter, balder, and grayer than they were back then.

    EDIT:

And I'm very disappointed in both WWE and TNA doing nothing to try and entice me to come back to their shows. TNA has been an ad-break fest, and they've had a total of 3 matches in 80+ minutes, 2 of which are women's matches. WWE, while I expect a long segment to open (especially with Bret back as guest host) opens with a women's match too. I don't mean to sound sexist but as a general rule I find women's wrestling to be pretty boring.

And there's still time for Leslie.

The best way I can describe it as the Nitro reunion tour. Basically taking a Crash TV approach to the whole thing.

Man I hope they don't hotshot the belt off of Styles. He's one of the few wrestlers I actually like in that company.

I AM liking Jeff Jarrett's promo right now.

I don't think I want to see all these old guys each and every week, but for tonight, it has been a nice little nostalgia trip, catching up with the old guys.

I DO expect at least one more big surprise on TNA tonght.

Of course my cable and internet would go out at 8 tonight and come back on at 11:30. Anyway read the results of both shows. I was actually going to make a joke about Hogan bringing in his old friends like Bubba the Love Sponge and he'll probably bring in the Nasty Boys to win the tag titles and sure enough they showed up. I guess it sounds like TNA put on a decent effort and sure bringing guys in like Hogan, Bischoff, Flair, Hall, X-Pac and Hardy will get people talking but once the initial shock wears off no one will care anymore. This would have been a much bigger deal if it were the late 90's obviously. But 3 of those guys are more likely to show up drunk, drugged out or dead than draw and the other guys can barely wrestle as it is with their old age.

As for the WWE I'm upset I missed the Hart/HBK stuff, it sounds like it was pretty cool. But otherside of that it was an uneventful RAW, besides from the WWE killing Kofi's heat. So much for that push. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised by it afterall a midget and a jobber who dresses up like guest hosts and other wrestlers are apparently still more over than the champion so what do I know right? Also nice that Jericho was jobbed out to Triple H yet again. But at least the WWE is starting the slow break up of DX now.
