well i was gunna sit my starters......but the giants are 12-2.....iam 14-0.......until i get homefield and a bye week locked up.....iam playing balls to the wall. if i get this victory i lock up home field and i will sit my starters the last week against the saints. if i lose. i have to play week 17 like its a normal game and try to lock up home field. regardless this is awesome. its going down to the wire for homefield and a bye.....awesome stuff. the playoffs are gunna be fantastic!
I'm not the commish but I'd assume you'd still be able to get in. We're near the end of the season, but still plenty of teams left and can play a game or two then have all next season if it's extended.
so i was down 6........in the end of the 3rd quarter.....my son hits the eject button on the ps3.....iam all pissed about throwing a pic and i hear "beep beep beep" and the disc gets ejected.....i yelled at him so bad (hes almost 2) i felt bad afterwards.....but it sucks eh....i beat the saints week 17 and i get homefield and a bye....so iam not worried. ill see the giants in the playoffs

Thats sucks man....so far I have never been booted but if it happens I too will be pissed.....hopefully you werent to hard on the little one....luckily if 2 he will forget it soon enough. Just hug him hard......
Hey, I would've done the same thing if I was in your situation. Don't worry, Sick, when he becomes a madden gamer, he'll understand. Props to you man. Toughest game of the year, without a doubt. People will look at the score and think blow out, but all that was against Computer. You held me to 13 points heading into the 4th quarter when I was averaging like 50 points a game, lol.

Actually, we should have awards at the end of the season. Like our version of the Ed Block Award for Courage could be the Ted Ginn Cowering Dolphins Award for Most Notable Act of Abject Fear on a Football Field. Or is that name too long? but we oughta do a vote for like League MVP, DPOY, OPOY and some joke categories.
My game against Cincy was absolute bull****, aside from a quick score I was up the entire time. But every time I started builiding a lead I would fumble. I think I had 4 fumbles for the game. Also Chris Henry just absolutely lit me up the entire game (may he RIP), but regardless I'm up 7 with about 40 seconds left and running the ball and running out the clock. Oh I forgot to mention that my running backs kept getting hurt. Larry Johnson gets dinged up but gets subbed back in eventually only to get knocked out of the game, so I"m on Kolby Smith and he's knocked out and only have Jamaal Charles left. So I'm running the clock out with Charles with only 40 seconds left and he fumbles and it's Bengals ball. I look at my roommate and say if they score a touchdown with 40 seconds and no time outs I'm gonna be pissed. Sure enough two Chris Henry long touchdowns (may he rip) it's going into overtime. I get the ball to start overtime, no big deal I can still win. Except when I'm on my own thirty and get hit as I'm thrown causing the most god awful pop up I've ever seen. A d-linemen gets under the ball runs it to the 15. They kick a field goal game over. Biggest load of crap I've ever seen. I still say the cpu cheats when you do too well. I feel better now, and sorry for the incoherent post.
Dude... I have felt your pain many times. The CPU absolutely dials it up to "Insane Immortality" mode when it decides it wants to beat you. I hate the futility of it as impossible stuff happens for several minutes straight. Just know we all deal with it. Consider it a tradeoff for the fact tha computer refs don;t rob us on wrong calls as much as in real life. everyone has to deal with bad refs in the NFL. In Madden everyone has to deal with a cheating CPU.
My game against the Patriots was pretty interesting, made so many mistakes and was down two TDs in the second half but came away with a win. Both teams just threw the ball as they pleased, with a combined 559 pass yards and also a combined 7 interceptions. Usually like to run the ball and do well, but NE wasn't having any of that. MJD still had over 100 but half of it was on one lucky run. (NE) L.Bodden, returned interception 23 Yds(S.Gostkowski kick), 0:18 JAX) M.Jones-Drew 67 Yd pass from D.Garrard(J.Scobee kick), 0:00 Absolute dumb move and throw to give up points close to halftime, but then with no time left in the second quarter I get a 67 yarder to redeem myself.
Oh you ready for the Jags!?! lol Just kidding, I regret not just being the odd one and taking Miami as I only play with them online and am very comfortable with how I use all their players. BigDogs I can probably make time whenever you want to do our game, so just let me know. I just can't do it during UNC basketball games.

The latest roster update* bumped Miami back down to a mid 70s overall team; for a few weeks there they were an 80, I will remember those glory days fondly. *
I don't know if I'm that bad or my team is that bad but I freaking lost yet again. Have we figured out how we deal with free agency and the draft for next season? I guess the one plus to this is that I am becoming a better pocket passer as I tend to roll out of the pocket way too much and end up eating a turd sandwich when I get leveled, the ball inevitably pops up into the air where some fatass defensive lineman outruns everybody the other way for a 60 yard TD.
haha I've had Solai, Langford, Starks, and probably forgetting some get a short interception and rumble their way to the endzone, pretty funny to watch. I think I've had about every Dolphin get player of the game too; Nathan Jones and Kory Sheets were two recent ones that most wouldn't expect to get it.
My lowely 3-12 Seahawks took out the then 11-4 Titans 38-31. It took a few home runs, Pick 6, 101 KOR Return & 84 yard td on 3rd & 17. Didn't hurt that they missed 3/4 field goals. And of course I had to have 3 INT's to go shoot myself in the foot. I'm boned next season if I can't get the pick's under control.
<======= beat the saints. deangelo williams was game mvp.......even though he played for 1 half i was up 2 touchdowns at half time....came out with mcnown and stewart starting, steve smith out.....and dan connor and diggs playing for beason and peppers..... it was getting kinda close and i threw 2 picks with mcnown.....so i put delhomme back in........and dumped all over them with stewart who is a ****ing beast. anyone with 2 qbs that needs a rb....i will listen to offers in the offseason i finished 15-1.....locked up homefield advantage, a bye week and the #1 seed in the nfc. good stuff. and congrats to everyone who clinched playoff spots....and congrats to dupree who clinched #1 seed in the afc with the ravens playoffs start soon fellas. gunna get fun as hell. ill try to bring back the game recaps for the playoffs....
i am also checking on the draft for franchise....and how it works......hopefully some details to follow shortly edit- from the online franchise Q&A on easports.com so it will be a rookie draft.....most likely with fake people....im hoping you can scout and everything. the season is 10 years....so we can do this for awhile it will be cool to see our rookies and what their doing and if their known and big names in a few years. rookie of the year etc would be cool to vote on. also its kinda like fantasy football, i will set a time that works for everyone (a sat night or something) where we can mostly all get online to do the draft. hell if ya'll want....i will start a chat room where i usually do my radio show so we can comunicate, and private message and try to set up some draft day trades if available. sound cool? if you cant make it, like FF you can set up a draft board and it will pick best player at that position when your pick is up. also i bolded the part about trades and cpu.....thats not true for our league. i turned off cpu trades as i heard it could be completley unfair and you can get some good players without giving up fair compensation. so it will just be trades with human/human teams. but we have alot of teams....so i think itll work and be cool. any other (?'s) let me know guys....dont hesitate to ask them in this thread....cuz maybe someone else can help if someone isnt online....woot this is gunna be a blast!!!!
ok guys i did some research about the online franchise draft. it looks as if its pretty cool......a great thing imo is that they show all of the players stats, overall, speed, etc etc BEFORE YOU DRAFT THEM.... so it is not a guessing game like on normal franchise modes. you need a HB....you can get the one whos fastest, who has the best hands, who is best overall etc etc..... also...the commissioner (me) gets to select how long each team has for picks...for each individual round. your controller will vibrate when your selection is up. and the process seems pretty cut and dry from there. i will continue looking for stuff....but thats the meat and potatoes of it thus far
from a youtube video i watched seems there are some legit good (help this season) type players available in the online franchise draft.....including a qb from florida named Tim Tribow.......im not kidding this is gunna be a ****ing blast. oh and good news.....you can be involved in the draft via your cpu and easportsworld.com instead of being on the ps3!
Bummer about not having NCAA import but still should be a flat out hoot......the full draft stats is nice feature, and draft board too. Like the idea of trading players and picks......and while no CPU team, hopefully they cut some guys in FA and we can sign them too.
