The reality is also that all teams TIED rotate over the course of subsequent rounds based on SoS (worst SoS picks 1st - logic being that if you have the "easiest" schedule but still only end up with X wins...you need more help than a team with harder schedule equalling same # of wins)...so while we could have #10 pick in first round, we wouldnt have it in 2nd and subsequent until we rotate with all teams tied.

To be honest, I would rather have say.... the 12-15th pick of every round, then have the 10th, then 20th of second round....or however it pans out.

Whatever it is, I have total TRUST in the FO to maximize the draft...they have a PROVEN track record.

With Henne on sideline, we may end it @ 7-9. who knows.....we are doing a horrible job of pass/blocking for sure.

Well apparently the coaches think so after pulling Henne. Eye injury? I dont buy that ****, they just want to see if white can do anything before next season, by possibly ending the season on a bad note with a loss.

But its a valid point....now I expect this FO to maximize each pick...but they too can whiff...so give me the W, and let the rest fall as it may. There are no quarantees and moving up doesnt assure us of anything but salary. Not that the salary is important, but its the only guarantee.

I want the W.....but it seems 7-9 is staring us in the face:cry:

I'm glad the team didn't think about the pick, they played hard!

Depends how many end up tied at 7-9.....but with CHI win...only 9 teams are ahead.

So Miami will pick #10 for at least 1 round out of the 7

why is this a one star? its a solid notion. today, after HOU winning, totally played out for the best.

I did a number crunch on this a few years back.

Based on the historical performance of draft picks it would only be worthwhile losing games if it got you a top 4 pick. There's a hure drop off after the first 4 and then a gradual decline.

"I'm just a Phins soul whose intentions are good. Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood."

Apparently, many did not understand my thread and posts. I NEVER wanted my team to tank a game for ANY reason. I NEVER would cheer against, or bet against my team. I am a PHANATIC, and want nothing but the best for my team, and was SCREAMING my lungs out for a 4th quarter comeback.

However, I did see where a loss would be better than a win, and in the best interest of my team.

With no CBA, MANY underclassmen are going to declare. They all know that a new rookie cap is coming.

That means that the talent level in the top half of the second round will be the same, or better, than the normal bottom half of the first round. Some have even speculated that the second and third rounds will be like first and second round picks in an average year.

That is important to me, and my team moving up could well fill glaring needs to take the next step because we have people who can draft.

Winning 8 games, as opposed to 7, is nothing more than a moral victory. To any who needed that, sorry, I don't.

I much prefer adding better players for a Super Bowl run.

Depending on Tenn, it is looking like #12, or Dan The Man's #13.

Ten just scored  hopefully it holds.

Rotating between 10, 11, 12 would be nice (CHI, MIA, JAC)
