His route running has progressed nicely. Quit expecting him to be a number one, and you'll be alot happier with him. Not Ginn's fault he was drafted number nine overall. Posted via Mobile Device
I think he's progressed a lot. I think we just had to rebuild him (thus the benching) because we was involved in the offense like... very little for a long time. Now we're starting to involve him a lot more and he's making plays. No doubt, I still think we need a #1 WR... but I think Ginn stays for one more year to basically play for his contract. His last year is probably void-able (in 2011) so next season will make or break for him in Miami. I don't think the coaching staff is as fed up with him as some here are.
He sucked for like 4 games while adjusting to a new quarterback. Get over it. Anyone who says he has sucked *** for the last 6 weeks is blatantly wrong, biased, and has no argument.
owen daniels, tony sheffler and bo scaife are A list possibilities. We should get one of them but if we go scraping the barrell then ben watson, lj smith, alex smith, matt spaeth, david martin and alge crumpler are available
we will... and i'm about to start one... we actually only need the Jets to lose to the Colts (then they are out), Baltimore to lose on the road to Oakland, New England to beat Houston in Houston, oh and yes, we need to beat the Steelers at home... four things... EDIT< forgot about Jacksonville... they need to lose on the road at Cleveland...
he's had about five in a row. he only had three bad games in a row for all the ted ginn sucks threads to come out
OK, I will play that game.... the first 4 game with Henne he caught 5 balls. The next 7 games (before today) he caught 12 balls. So he improved from 1.25 catches per game to 1.7. At this rate he will be catching 4 ball per game ... by the end of next season that is.... And maybe your the one that needs to get over it..
dunno why we are even discussing ginn?!? he did everything he could, he got open deep, went up and caught a ball, and played exceptional when given the chance save your breath for the real thing worth talking about.....our 1st half defense. and our questionable coaching decisions
How about one good month? 6 weeks? When the ball is thrown his way, he catches it. That is good play.
You see that's what everyone is missing. Very few change to studs. They were always studs. For instance, take a look at Miles Austin. Everyone is shocked at his production. Yet at small Monmouth College he put up almost 3000 yards. Now there is something to be said for cometition for sure. But Ted Ginn generated half the yardage of Miles Austin in college. Now contrast Austin's production at a small school to that of Randy Moss. Randy Moss went for 3500 yards in what was essentially 2 years of college football. What this boils down to is the Ted Ginn gamble. You had two bozos in the front office that took Ted Ginn in the first round. I don't care what Mel Kiper says. He was never worth a first or second round draft pick. James Jett had a superb career with this type of speed. Raiders fans loved him because he was undrafted. He finished his career with 4500 yards. It doesn't change the fact that he is the same receiver as Ted Ginn. James Jett just didn't have a 'tard willing to pick him at number 9 in the NFL draft. Why does Ted Ginn have to pay for that?
You seem to just discount the the amount of plays he was in for, and the amount of passes that went his way. That's fine you can use ONE statistic, I'll continue to watch the games. Good one.
Why are people still talking about Ginn? What did he do wrong today? I guess it's his fault that he caught a long TD but the refs threw a flag.
What the **** was up with the o-line subs at the end of the game. You shouldn't be doing **** like that in crunch time, its a time waster, confusing, and there's no cohesion at all. I was dumbfounded, it cost us a time out too.
The sadest part of todays game for me was watching two good ILB's play for the Texans. WOW!!! I wish we had just one of those guys.
Next year I honestly think this team will win 11 games or more (12-4 is my prediction) given another offseason, experience for our rooks, and this being the third year of the rebuilding program. Let's face it for a team with 1 win two years ago a season with 7 or 8 wins with the toughest schedule is not the end of the world. I know everyone is pissed that we blew this game and a golden opportunity to make the playoffs. The fact is this team isn't good enough yet we need playmakers. Now if Miami blows this offseason which in my mind means not getting a #1 WR and other playmakers (such as LBs and DBs) then I will be pissed. Next year I don't think the rebuilding process can be used as an excuse like it can this year because three offseasons is good enough to make a playoff making team. Essentially if Miami doesn't make the playoffs next year it will be a failure where this year I projected 7 to 9 wins from the onset and that is exactly what happened. With this schedule, unforeseen injuries, and youth this season projected to be a let down unless everything was perfect like last year. Next year I honestly believe we'll be back in the playoffs assuming we get playmakers and not settler for role players anymore. I just hate that it'll be September 2010 (almost a freaking year lol) before we can start the playoff race again. Until then I'm hoping for two straight non-losing seasons...so 8-8 here we come. Oh and BTW I too would like Charlie Weis here but chances are it won't happen. Henning is the one big thing about our team that scares me but talent could also be holding him back.
Really? Because just a few weeks ago, Ginn was getting ripped by analysts and former Dolphins players for poor route running, rounding out routes and not making sharp cuts. So I don't know what games you've actually been watching but I'll take their word for it over yours.
No, thats doing what he is supposed to do as a professional Wide Receiver in the NFL, catching a football. A good play would be Ginn catching the ball and then turning it upfield for more yards.
