Try Southeast, Florida was the first back to back champs in 15 years. Apparently its not very noteworthy around here.
If you don't think they could have beaten some teams that made the tournament, then ......... I don't know what to tell you. NIT isn't a big deal in my opinion but it also doesn't make you the 65th best team.
I guess the Buckeye hate hasnt lost its mojo from the other board....just wondering how many people would be "hating" on the NIT's if Florida wouldve won it?? I got your back King, dont worry UF wont win another title in football or basketball for another 20 years so rest easy my friend.

No one is making this a Florida/OSU except you bro. The only reason they came up is someone asked who won last year. Believe it or not there are plenty of other fans here of different schools. Lets keep the smack to a minimum please.

Not necessarily Buckeye dissing, its the idea of the NIT being a major championship that is being criticized IMO.
The NIT is important to struggling our younger teams. It gives them an opportunity to play in a tourney type atmosphere. But its a consolation tourney, trust me, even the winner of the tourney would have much rather have been in the big dance. But to Ohio States credit, the big ten was tough this yr. See I can say nice things about them.....just not the gators.
To validate some of your points before the fields were announced, on a local radio show here in central Ohio there was a poll question asking Buckeye fans if they would rather make the big dance or win the Nit's and like 90% said make the NCAA tourney.. That being said all the local sports bar's were packed with scarlet and gray last night and you wouldve thought we were playing for a major title....we Buckeye fans are just passionate creatures.
