PS3 Madden 10 Players Wanna Play or Start Online Franchise Mode?

weird, understand about trade deadline...but how come no list of FA's that can be signed?

 

If you go to player management and shift teams, you can see FA I think.

 

Are you going to be on today? If so maybe we could play a scrimmage game online.

As for ratings....I'm the Lions man. Half my offensive line is a high 60's rating and my runningback only has 86 speed.

 

How do I add you as "friends" to know you are online and can play???

 

I'll add you now, for future reference you press that circle button thingy on your controll, scroll right to friends and its self explanitory from there

 

ftr guys.......go to easportsworld.com then football, then online franchise, log into our franchise and you can sign free agents when you click "roster" then "add/drop"

almost like fantasy football

I can adjust my depth chart, offer trades, do everything, but I dont see add/drop. Though I did sign Levi Jones on my PS3

 

Yeah, I can modify my depth chart online, but can only view Roster or Injuries can not drop or add players.

I can add/drop via PS3..woot...but just not online.

And I have to wait till after the season to make trades right?

So we will be able to trade draft picks then too right?

 

ya we can trade picks.....thats odd you cant see the free agents.....alex i saw you made some moves how did you do that? on ps3 or on your computer?

dont think so lol......also.....there is no free agency period, and no contracts....you lose a player if you cut them or they retire....

this is tech. the "beta" version of the online franchise still.....sooo....trades and draft and signing cut players is the only way to get newbies on your team

and no salary cap/contracts so thats kinda cool to not have to worry about it....although it'd be nice to upgrade with some free agents etc etc.

it may come to later maddens down the line

 

So then in the offseason free agency is first come first serve? Sick I think we should create a system for this, it will be more work, but to me it won't be fair to have it that way.

I have an idea if you want to hear it. It's a little work but I'd put it in.

imo we can do it like the nfl waiver system? worse team records have dibs for one player and it goes in order?

 

I was thinking we could assign points to each user team, based upon how many games that USER won the season before. Like...I will only play 7 games as a user, so only those seven would count. Perhaps weighted towards/away from users with more user vs user wins. Then those points could be used to bid on players.

Obviously this would take a little longer, but I think it would create some parity in the league as well as a bit more realistic GM style.

Like lets say for instance teams finish:

Carolina: User = 16-0
Vikings: User = 15-1
Lions: User = 14-2

Detroit would receiver 100 bid points
Vikings = 90
Carolina = 80

Or something along those lines. Obviously those point totals are made up to show what I mean.

Just an idea off the top of my head. Another idea was to assign free agents x amount of points based on rating, assign the team points, and make teams "Buy" them with said points. If two teams try and buy, the one with the worse user record wins.


EDIT: Sick your idea can also work, but I'm afraid it will fall apart if we get more users. Getting the 32nd best free agent kinda leaves you in the crapper

I just beat the Steelers 52-0. Ray Rice's first start he had over 100 yards rushing and over 100 yards receiving.

The only reason this game was a shutout was the fact that the Steelers missed 4 field goals.

before you even enter the game of madden, when your at the main screen for ps3.......go all the way to the right where it has a smiley face and says "friends" then you can "add friend" and enter our names.....mine is FailHorn

put that in and it will send me a friend request, or i can add you......whoever gets on first i guess, iam home from work with my son who broke his leg......so ill have some time to play later on whenever he takes a nap.....so try to send me one, if not i will when i get on there

anyone online right now wanna play a non-franchise, non-ranked game for fun?

 

Agggghhhh played my first online game in Madden 10. Some NOOB (cause he disconnected when losing) chooses Saints...I choose Phins quickly.

On my opening drive, I march to his 38 and face a 4th and 2. Initially I call for FG (but then it comes up 55yds and into slight wind), so I use TO; and go with goaline for 2yds - 1st down.

Following 3 more plays I am again faced with 4 & 6, I go for FG - snap - kick and its Short from 50, but he jumps offsides...so it puts me at 4 & 1, I line up to go for it instead of long FG, but I dont snap it in time..back to 4 & 6. I go into Shotgun and complete 20 yrd pass. On 1sts and 10 I run Ricky off the edge and he takes it to the house. Woot...up 7-0.

I kickoff stop him at his 28yd line.....following 3 quick runs out of the wildcat, this NOOB goes for it on 4th & 8...completes it.....ok....1st down.....3 more wildcat plays, he goes for it on 4th and 5...same route as before, and now its incomplete and turn over on downs.

He disconnects.......so, I go on vs. CPU and request it counts.

I march and kick FG up 10pts early in 2nd QTR.....back and forth, HALFTIME up 10-0.

I kickoff to start the 2nd Half.....2 plays Reggie Bush takes it 65yrds to the house, breaking a behind the line of scrimmage gang tackle by 3 Dolphins - slippery as butter - then goes untouched..agggghhhh....ok 10-7 still up.

Hindsight here is my Dumb play of the game....on kickoff, Ginn takes it to 41yd line....I call PA on 1st down and Henne is off target with slight rollout and throw and gets picked, returned to my 21.....Defense stiffens and I hold them to FG 10-10.

Back and Forth....4th Quarter starts....just under 4 Minutes, Brees hits Colston on deep crossing route quickly in FG range, unsuccessful 3 plays gains 8 more yards and sets up FG try from 39yrd - its good....I am trailing 13-10 now with inside 3min and change.

I get KO...Ginn breaks it across midfield...(hold the phone - yellow hanky). BESS called for holding (aggghhhh). I start my drive at my own 12. Use Singleback and Gun to start the march....things are clicking...slants, outs...ins...passes are being held onto....things are working...at the 1:04 mark I am at Saints 26yrd line....call TO. Set up outside Toss to Ricky, oustanding blocking downfield, and he scores....xtra point and up 17-13 with 58 ticks remaining.

Kickoff and stop them at their 22....54sec remain.

Come on D...right???? !!!!!!

My Dolphins D gets torched on 3 passes that chew up 20yd a clip each....over the middle (Bush), down the seem (Shockey), cross to out pattern again to Colston that he runs out of bounds to stop the clock..aggghhh....and each play my D line is inches from getting to Brees....no cigar.

Its 1st and 10 8 secs left from just inside my 20.....Brees to Colston TD right over the outstretched fingers of Crowder and Davis (double coverage in the area - Crowder covering Shockey underneath)....agggh.

4 ticks remain and squib kick ends it!!!

Dolphins Lose 20-17!!!!!!!! and it counts as a loss online...aggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

I won't lie, it probably didn't help that I was Detroit. My defense was so slow...once anyone caught the ball in space it was over. Sick would have won anyway....but maybe it could have been respectable.

Also didn't help that my team fumbled the ball like 82378372 times. Sick fumbles once....and it went out of bounds

Also Sick don't think I dont realize you let me score that last TD you could have swatted it away soooo easily.

 

dont wanna hear anything about the fumbles.....i had a pick-6 at the end of the first half.....past everyone......can crawl into the endzone....and randomly (cause this would happen any day for real lmao not) one of my guys down field, away from the play clips your guy so the TD gets reversed......i was so mad haha

 

I was laughing my *** off when they called that penalty.

The first few minutes of the second half....and end of the first half for that matter, were a real turnover fest for both of us.

 

I hate the new FUMBLE feature of clicking....agggghhhhh...let the CPU decide.

 

I turn it off in franchise. I like the concept, but in all actuality its WAY too hard to win. You lose the ball against the computer in obvious situations you recovered it.

 

Me too.....to me it like adding some clicking function on whether a Penalty is going to be called (hit x 20 times or its on you, hahahaha)....just let the CPU decide and stop the zanyness of clicking Square, now Circle, now X, now triangle.....back to square...agghggghhhh.

they over thought this feature.

 

another thing that drives me crazy is the same exact animations over and over again on a close TD or first down.....its ****ing repetitive and ridiculous

You pulled out a few screen passes at the exact right moments when I wasnt expecting them. Very good gameplan. Only thing that seemed to work was the pro set for me but you caught on, and the empty set QB draw.

 

ya you got me a few times with stafford, but with my horrible pass defense i figured id give up 7 on a scramble instead of something deep, then i started playing cover 2, keeping the corner close to the LOS

also i dropped peppers and brown into the flats a few times and blitzed corners

 

Did you see the play I threw deep to Calvin Johnson...you intercepted....CJ stabbed at it with one hand about 20 yards from the ball. I was so confused it was down the right sideline.
