This is too good not to post. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYSxJgjjJFc"]YouTube- Ted Ginn Jr. and Snoop Dogg - Drop it Like it's Hot[/ame]
The Ginn stuff is getting old... He drops balls... and he is afraid of contact.. and he was drafted high and hasn't lived up to his draft position.... yada yada The video is clever I guess but it would have been funnier if it wasn't the 30th thread about how much Ginn stinks.
the thread title clearly stated what it was about....just dont click it next time......ted ginn mafia member
C'mon man, lighten up....better to laugh than to cry, right? Besides, anyone who knows muck also knows he's someone who is very respectful towards others. He's not calling into question Ginn's worth as a human being, like some do when they call him "garbage" or "trash" or say he sucks, etc.
Mean't to quote Late Again. my misake its not a lighten up issue. Its funny. Just old. had this been thread 5 or even 10 but it now becomes instead of
What?...are you saying if Ginn was on another team he'd be made fun of for his drops etc. and not defended.
Well, the drop to end the New England game this past week was alot worse than I originally thought (I had not seen the replay until now). That was terrible. Good video though. EDIT: FWIW, go back to the 1:06 mark in the video and watch that replay. Look at Ginn go up for that ball and kick his legs out, it just looks unnatural. That's poor form for a high school WR, nevermind a professional.
What, by Jets fans?.......No way. If Ginn was a Jet he would have had his lawn vandalized about a dozen times by now. Death threats, hanging in effigy, even calls for permanent injury, or maybe for Rex to make a meal out of him. But jokes?.....that's just not the Jet Way.
As the thread title indicates, this is just for laughs. I'm not really looking to debate what has already been debated in the other threads. I just thought it was funny in a masochistic kind of way. Hey, if you can't laugh at yourself..... OT: my favorite part was, "you're gonna love it every time you see him as a kick returner." [que bouncing 5 yards off the defender]
I appreciated it for what it was...perfect song...mixed with perfect complimentary footage - even if it was painful as a fan of player and team. It was funny & sad....but you can dance to it!
My God, when you see them all together like that .... yikes. Wow, I guess he really DOES have a problem catching the ball!
That was painfull to watch. And yet like so many videos like car / train wrecks etc. I can't seem to look away. Almost as if he might actualy catch it next time I replay the video... On the other hand it is not unlike classic comedies like three stooges and others. It could also replace that unlucky ski jumper from the old wide world of sports agony of defeat segment.
That was freaking hilarious. THanks Muck. And as sad as it was, you can tell lots of those drops he has one eye cheating to who is going to hit him. After seeing that i can say he does have a tendancy to be scared of contact. Oh man i hope Teddy figures it out. The kid works hard and means well.
Very funny stuff, adding Cam Cameron's press conference commentary was even better, sort of the cherry of suck on top of the sundae of bitter disappointment...
Damn, never thought his drops were that bad. And to admit, he does look like he's afraid of contact. Hope he puts it together, though. Lord knows we need him, too.
Yeah, when the Cam voice over talks about his Family "The Ginn Family" I expected to see video footage of his Father & Mother in the stands each during the proverbial "doh" forehead slap!
I just threw up. Edit: I had to show my fiancee the video. As it went along I was saying. That was where we lost the Colts game. That turned the tide in the Saints game and ended up being called a pick-6. That ended the Pats game for us. She responded.."Why do they keep throwing it to him?" I couldn't answer.
Whats interesting is those saying he hasnt had a "Drop" problem before this year....that included me. Actually, I would say his "Technique" hasnt changed and indeed, he has been doing the Florida Gator Chomp longer than just this year. Freakin pitiful is what it is
to be fair, they could make a video of every ball he has caught and he'd look phenomenal. Hes on his way out of miami, we all know this, but lets keep it in perspective.
As funny as the video is - you could do this for any receiver if you went over their entire career. No one will admit it because Ginn is the new whipping boy - but you could have an equal amount of drops from Braylon Edwards alone this year. Same for TO. Or Brandon Marshall. In fact there were around 13-14 drops in that video. Last year, Braylon had 16. And Dwayne Bowe was 2nd with 13. Unfortunately most big-play receivers drop a lot of passes.
