1 in 4 is actually a pretty good shot at winning in Foxboro, to me the key to the game is avoiding Turnovers that go for easy scores.

It's time to summon the ANTI-MOSS. 6 foot 4 inches of Moss-killing brutality.

Sean Smith on Moss. Vontae on Welker. Everyone else on Ben Watson and Kevin Faulk.

    I give us 35%

I kind of like Vontae on Moss because he's so physical. A few good hits and Randy will take the rest of the game off.

i disagree. this is why we drafted Sean Smith. Why else would we need a 6'4" corner?

Hey we won in Foxboro last year and I think we can do it again, besides I think they may have a trick or two up their sleeves like with the wildcat last year. Maybe they will reveal some major wrinkles they have been working on.If not I think Ronnie and Ricky can still move our offense. In regards to defense I would say Moss was one of the main reasons we drafted two corners. I think they only give us 25% chance of winning because they see on paper we have two rookie corners starting but I think the corners play better than average rookies. Also JT is always getting to Brady and we got Porter, Wake, and Starks to help out. We also saw last game how dangerous Ginn can be on returns so I think he can get us great field position. I hope our Fins pull it out Sunday.

I am just scared of the play with Smith where Moss does anything than run deep.

I found this on nfl.com and it is a very encouraging stat

You take away 2007, where we lost to everybody, and it's a pretty much an even keeled ball game. History tells us that we will split.

    Canada EH!
Problem is, Smith wont change sides to cover him. He has strictly worked on the one side. But Davis has worked at both CB spots, heck even in the slot. So i noticed being reported a while back. Either or i think can cover him just as well, i mean Davis did out jump Edwards for the 2pt conversion.

Smith was drafted partly because of Moss and the new trend of tall of WR's in the NFL. I still think we pick up another tall DB late next draft to be the 5th guy or a project.

Moss is much faster than Smith, I'd honestly be scared if he went deep.

I think Smith is up to covering moss. So many of moss's catches are above the head of the shorter DB. Brady knows moss's timing and jumping ability is his advantage and purposly throws it higher than the corner.

Having a taller CB will help there. EDIT: And to think about it more, the one thing Welker can kill you with is YAC yards from poor tackling. I would feel much better having Vontae cover welker, inflict some early pain on welker and when he does make a catch on 3rd n long, make sure he's stopped well before a first down.

Just not sure what the year 2000 or any other year has to do with the play of the Patriots or the Dolphins. You cant even take the 8 or 9 previous years and have any indication of what is going to happen this year...Different years, different players,...just look at the player turnover on this team since Bill and company have taken over

I would not want Smith on Moss very much, not at this stage. Smith is not a good tackler. And, he has a nasty habit of looking in for the snap rather than at his man. This usually results in his man getting a relatively free release off the line of scrimmage.

Not what I want right now from him. He needs to play better than he has done in these areas IMHO.

Well, I would not mind Smith on Moss simply because there will be safety help over the top, with Smith having underneath responsibilities but with his length it would help to take away the outside.

BTW, the chattering class on NFLN is predicting a blowout, at least Dukes is, Woodson went with the Patsies as well.

Joey Porter had better polish the rust off of the "S" on his chest for this game.

Moss will have a safety over the top on 90% of his plays anyway, regardless of who the corner is outside of a select few; none of them play in Miami.

Davis may be a better physical matchup in terms of speed and toughness, but he gambles too much at this stage - he'll let a big one up trying to make an "iffy" play to begin with. Over time, that will change, we'll see this weekend.
