Cleveland coming to town ten games into the season should be a good one. I'm also looking forward to the X-mas day Boston game & the Lakers game out west in Jan.
Never has there been a Cleveland Cavaliers game that LeBron James(notes) has played in that didn’t showcase him as the star of the show. That changes on Nov. 11 when the Cavs visit the Orlando Magic. Even James will be bumped to the marquee’s second rung to make room for the clash between Shaquille O’Neal(notes) and Dwight Howard(notes). “That’s all everybody is talking about,” Howard said in a phone interview recently. “People that hit me up on Twitter, that’s the first thing they say, ‘Are you ready for Shaq?’ ” For Howard, there’s no escaping Shaq now. After losing to the Magic in the Eastern Conference finals, the Cavaliers traded for O’Neal to help them better match up with Howard. The rivalry between the two centers escalated last season when O’Neal accused Howard of hijacking his Superman title and claimed he had already “invented” everything Howard had done. link to the rest below. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=mc-howardshaq081709&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
The Magic signed guard Jason Williams today. I guess he came out of retirement. Nothing wrong with a little more veteran experience on the team. http://www.nba.com/magic/news/sign_williams_081909.html
Now, will he be our third string PG, or backup to Nelson? I am guessing backup to Nelson, because AJ was not very good last season.
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5cOhMP2oLg"]YouTube - Vince Carter - UNC Alumni Game 2009[/ame] Some nice Vince Highlights from yesterday's UNC alumni game.
Magic preseason starts Monday, 8:30 @ the Dall-*** Mavs. I know it's preseason, but I hope we shame them terribly. Some new faces on the team, but I think we'll do just fine. Here's to a great season of Magic Basketball!
The guys have been practicing together since September 1st, and are already gellin' according to Nick Anderson who was on a popular radio show here in Orlando yesterday. I'm pumped for this season!
Decent preseason debut for the Magic. Vince had 21 points in his first game in Orlando, 15 of those in the 3rd qtr, as Dall-*** got beat 110-105. The Miami Heat come to town Wed night.
Magic beat the Heat 90-86 in Vince Carter's homecoming preseason game with Orlando. Crowd was really into him tonight. Rashard Lewis sat out to give Brandon Bass, among others, a chance to get used to playing for him in the first 10 games. Next up are the Houston Rockets coming to town Friday night.
Decent game agains the Rockets, Magic win 113-104. Gortat had a great game. Gotta go to Memphis Monday night, 8pm.
Memphis game was during the Phins game last night so I missed keeping up with that one. Beat 'em 102-83. Destroyed New Orleans 121-86. Man I wish these were regular season scores Undefeated in the preseason so far. Headed to Chicago on Monday night.
Preseason annihilation of the Pacers tonight, 117-87. One more on Fri night against the Hawks, and then it's time to start the games that count next Wednesday night when the 76'ers come to O'town. 6 days to go!
Got the Heat thread up...with my predictions.... GL to the Magic all season.... I like them to do well this year.
Game time is 7pm against the 76'ers. Not on any major networks I can find, but it's on SunSports in Fl and Comcast everywhere else. Guess I'll be watching on channelsurfing.net Here's to another awesome season! Go Magic!!
"You look around," Carter said, "this is like heaven." http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=291028019 120-106 Magic. Kind of ironic that the first away game is against his last team, the New Jersey Nets on Friday night.
Gametime for the Magic @ Nets game is 8pm. No national coverage again, but it's on Sun Sports & YES Network.
Damn, I hope it's not too bad of a sprain. We're going to need him in the first ten games with Lewis out.
95-85, Orlando. A good game for the Magic except for Carter's ankle sprain. Not sure if he'll be back on Sunday for Hedo Turkoglu & the Raptors in Toronto (geez, the 2nd road game vs a team he used to play for). It's a good thing we've got a solid bench team!
I figured out halfway through the 3rd quarter after I lost the feed that NBA League Pass Broadband is free until the 3rd. go to http://www.nba.com/leaguepass/online.html sign up and you can watch out of market games for the next few days
Just for future references, you may want to give atdhe.net a shot. They usually have several links up of games. I recommend the site, as I often use it to watch Soccer games. Good luck to Orlando this year, btw.
i checked atdhe.net and it was the same feed from the link i had posted above, thanks for the advice though.
I wish there was a dedicated broadband television network that had 12039129038 channels and you could watch whatever you wanted. Someone please make this.
"I heal like a young guy so I'll be good tomorrow," Carter said after sitting out the second half. "Hopefully, I'll be back Sunday. We're going to be smart about it. It's a long season. I'm feeling better now that I am walking on it." http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=291030017
Why o' why did they have to put on a Magic game at the same time as the Dolphins @ Jets game on Sunday?
