04/01/08 - Colt Brennan will undergo surgery Monday to repair what he describes as a "slight" tear in his right hip. The rehabilitation period is between eight and 12 weeks, after which he will be fully healed and will not need additional medical procedures for the injury. Brennan said he suffered the injury during a Senior Bowl practice in January. He said it led to what he termed as a "dead leg" effect in his right thigh. The injury did not prevent him from working out at the NFL Scouting Combine last month. Brennan will compete in passing drills at today's Pro Day at the Home Depot Center in Carson. "You won't notice anything wrong with my passing," said Brennan, who holds the NCAA record for career passing touchdowns. - Stephen Tsai, Honolulu Advertiser

After watching Brennan play against Georgia in their bowl game, and seeing him throw at the combines, I think Brennan could end up falling to the 6th or 7th round. It might be worth using a compensation pick just to see what he can do, but he seems to have a sidearm throwing motion and he looks rather small.

Honestly, I rather use that compensation choice on Matt Flynn or Kyle Wright.
