the Raidas are pretty stupid, and if we are willing to part with either Nalbone or Haynos, it could happen ... Bowe would be a bit tougher ... but he is not a top flight WR and could be had for something like a 3d probably ...
No, because TG is and always will be a speedy, complimentary WR ... plain and simple ... it's just what he is ... the question still remains -- what does the FO see in Turner ... will he be ready next year ? what will he be ? a big possession WR, or a big, deep threat ?? he is what drives the decision process .... not Ted Ginn ... they know what he is ... Terry Glenn .... and the FO knows 'she' very well ....
Another name to add to the list I think is Tony Scheffler. Would be the seam stretcher we need out of the TE spot and might come cheaper than Zach Miller if he is even available.
disagree....our running game, with ginn being covered by #2 corners with no safety help....with bowe on the opposite side with bess/cam/hartline in slot...... thats ****ing disgusting.
the way they collapsed at times, i gotta say we can be number one against the run all we want, it will mean jack against guys like brees and manning.
Bingo. Add Brady, Rivers, Schaub, and Big Ben to the list. And did you not just watch the Jets have good success against our #1 rushing D? If you can establish a passing game on us, you can run on us (with the exception of Sproles, who is too small).
Bro, you're crazy if you think KC is giving Bowe away for a 3rd. Mangenius isn't running KC. Bowe had 70 something catches for 995 yards as a rookie, and 86 for 1000+ yards, with 7-8 TD last year with KC lame *** offense.
We need all those pieces...but you get them how you can, when you can. WR being such a crap shoot and time investment, I prefer to go the FA route, instead of drafting one and waiting/hoping for him to develop. As far as the timing, I think if we were to get a guy like Bowe, right now.....we could make a serious run this year. Our playoff chances would be as good as anyone in our division. Adding a play maker like that, not only gives you a shot to win now, but you're still heading in the right direction because you're adding an important piece. I've been vocal about wanting to stick to the re-building mode, but after watching Henne vs the jets and seeing what a potentially explosive future this offense has, I think we can do both.
