Twin Peaks started in 1990 I believe? (Might as well have the 80's) And was by far the best TV show of that era.

 

Didn't miss much Mary. If you've seen one episode, you've seen them all. Every week:

Cars rollover and explode. No one gets killed or even hurt.
Incendiary devices go off. No one gets killed or even hurt.
Gnarly booby traps are set and sprung. No one gets killed or even hurt.

And most notorious A-Team feature:
