I'm surprised Motion didn't get this going already. He's been a slacker in the lost department since last season There's not a ton of news on plot lines or anything, although filming of the new season should start soon, if not already. However there is plenty of casting news that could indicate some of the plot line. Read at your own risk. Spoiler It seems some of our favorite lostaways are coming back. Shannon, Boone, Charlie, etc... Mr. Eko back? I loved the character and hated AA wanting quitting and leaving a void on the show. Rumors are we will see his church in season 6... The on he never finished building. Anyone remember the pilot from season 1? The one the smoke monster ate? Greg Grunberg, who plays Matt on that horrible show, Heroes. As for Charlie... That's really all I know about casting. Anyone else have any tidbits? As for plotlines of the past... Nestor Carbonell confirms his character killed Juliets ex-husband. Nestor will finally be a full-time cast member in 2010. He moved his family to Hawaii for the filming of season 6. The last bit of information might be considered a major spoiler, so read at your own risk. The first episode is titled Spoiler LA X
2 new recurring characters....... Spoiler http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/08/21/hiroyuki-shimosawa-joins-lost/ http://news-briefs.ew.com/2009/08/19/lost-john-hawkes-joins-cast/ Michael Emerson(Ben)'s prediction for the series finale: Spoiler
I've known about the title for a while and heard an interesting theory. Spoiler LA X doesn't necessarly relate to the airport, it refers to Los Angles in the year 2010 as in present day when the show airs!
Man, I can't wait for Lost to come back on. Before it's all said and done, I gotta believe that Walt will be back and have a big impact...
I'm just hoping they answer a lot of the big questions from Seasons 1 & 2. Especially like why the Others took all the kids, why they wanted Walt so bad and what happened to them.
I'm hoping that after the last season they offer a LOST encyclopedia that explains the show in detail, including stuff that maybe didn't make it into fianal cuts of the show.
I think the reason they took the kids was because people on the island can't have children. No way to replace/build society. Kids are impressionable and could be taught about the island without adult bias. Look at how long it took Jack to realize the island was special. Just my interpretation... I don't think that's on the list of things that need to be answered as far as TPTB are concerned. They've got a ton of mythology to go through and develop the characters for the end game.
You very well could be right but I will be extremely disappointed if they don't answer those questions. I mean they were a pretty big deal during the Seasons 1 and 2. I mean I understand they had to drop the Walt storyline because he grew up to become Shaq's size but still. I hope we get to hear why Walt was so 'special'. I do realize that the writers won't get to all of those questions so I agree it would be nice if they came out with a short book about why certain things happened and what ideas they had from certain characters that they had to switch around.
It should be an intresting season. and I agree with Clark, Eko was one of my favorite characters he definately had the most intresting back story IMO.
It's nothing to bad, I'm sure they are doing everything possible to keep the good stuff secret for the final season.
Read at your own risk... Filming started Monday, and the spoiler is where filming took place, and who was involved. So if you don't want to know how season 6 starts, ignore this post. Spoiler from DarkUFO Spoiler Filming for the sixth and final season of “LOST” began on Monday, but most of the lensing so far has taken place at the Hawaii Film Studio on Diamond Head. But today, thanks to visiting “LOST” fan, blogger and podcaster “TheODI” and film industry watcher Tim Ryan, there’s finally a couple of tidbits to report. As a vacationing fan, “TheODI” has enjoyed visiting a number of “LOST” locations, including the beach set at Papailoa (still standing by) and Camp Erdman (a.k.a. Othersville). Thanks to some especially friendly people, he was able to get good leads on where they might be found. And indeed, we were both able to check out what looks like the first location shoot of the season, way out on the west side of O’ahu. The set was unmistakable: the beach temple where Jacob lived, and atop which once stood the “four-toed” Egyptian statue. Nearby, the remnants of a large bonfire. “TheODI” reports that the actors said to be attached were Michael Emerson (Ben) and Terry O’Quinn (Locke… or Not Locke), the implication being that the beach shoot provides the exterior to the interior scenes filmed early this week. This fits with what a friend mentioned to me last week, suggesting that Brad Henke (Bram) was on deck early. It seems Season 6 will quickly pick up right where one of the Season 5 timelines left off. Note: The ever intrepid “TheODI” ventured much further than I dared, and will soon be publishing some great up-close-and-personal photos on his blog. http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2009/08/filming-update_27.html
From all of the spoilers I've read, the first 4 episodes will be absolutely nuts. January is too far away...
Agreed, I used to read very mild spoilers on Lost but stopped last season, mainly because the site I went to too way too long to load for me. I refuse to read any spoilers unless they are mild like episode titles or hints from people at EW or E!. I definitely don't want to know how the show ends before I see the episode.
Good interview with Lindelof Nothing spoilerish...Just talks about the vision and how he planned stuff out http://content.usatoday.com/communi...st-qa-damon-lindelof-tackles-your-questions/1
We did ask an actor who's played a significant role on the show to come back and do some work on Season 6, and they said no. But I'm not going to confirm who that is. All I'll say is that person was never a series regular Who would this be?? Eko?
How many people do make it to the end of the season? You really think I'm going to answer that question? Do you think more series should follow the Lost model and announce end dates? I look at a show like FlashForward and I go, yeah, it would probably help that show for them to say it's a three-season or four-season show and then it ends, so that the audience at least gets a sense of where they are in the story. I have lots of questions but Damon won't answer them (and I wouldn't want to spoil anything anyway). Can he at least tell us when the season premiere will be? Honest to god, they haven't given us a date yet. I don't even know what night it's going to be on. We've been on Wednesday at 9 for awhile, but now ABC's comedies are actually working. And I actually like Modern Family and Cougar Town, so I'm not sure that they'll move them. I don't know what it means for us, but all I've ever heard is mid-to-late January. We're doing 18 hours -- two-hour premiere, two-hour finale -- so if we end in mid-May, we can't premiere any later than late January
wow, lots of interesting stuff in there, thanks and from this it sounds like it could be Eko that won't come back
No I believe Ako was a a series regular on Season 2 and Season 3. I'm guessing it was probably someone like Tom or maybe someone from flashbacks like Locke's dad.
The person they asked back but said no could be Danielle too. I had read they asked her to come back but she said no because she was filming something else at the time.
From EW.com: I’ve got a new numbers-related Lost mystery for ya. Anyone know what 02022010 means? I do — it’s the show’s return date! ABC just confirmed that Lost will kick off its sixth and final season with a two-hour premiere on Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 9-11 pm. The requisite recap special will start things off at 8 pm. The following week, Lost will settle into its regular Tuesday-9 pm perch. The ABC press release announcing Lost’s return date also revealed who among the show’s cast will receive full-time, series-regular billing in season 6. And the winners are… Naveen Andrews (Sayid), Nestor Carbonell (Richard), Emilie de Ravin (Claire), Michael Emerson (Ben), Jeff Fahey (Frank) Matthew Fox (Jack), Jorge Garcia (Hurley), Josh Holloway (Sawyer), Daniel Dae Kim (Jin), Yunjin Kim (Sun), Ken Leung (Miles), Evangeline Lilly (Kate), Terry O’Quinn (Locke), and Zuleikha Robinson (Ilana). Not mentioned in the press release, but confirmed to return on a guest-star and/or recurring basis, are Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet), Ian Somerhalder (Boone), Rebecca Mader (Charlotte), Dominic Monaghan (Charlie), Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond), and Katey Sagal (Helen). That list will no doubt grow as the season progresses. Start the countdown to 02/02/2010!
Tuesday is a great day for lost. There is nothing on Tuesdays with this years reshuffling, specifically Fringe and the Mentalist moving to Thursday (been a disaster for Fringe I hear).
I read the other day that last season (Season 5) is coming out on DVD on December 8th in case anyone didn't know.
Ok so i started watching this show 2 months ago, and tonight i just finished and wow... I have a theory that Maybe Locke is not Locke and is the guy in the beginning of the season 5 finale saying he was going to kill Jacob. Maybe he has a power to be someone else... idk sounds a little out there but who knows, as for the person not coming back i think it may be someone like Bernard, he really was never a series regular, i am interested on who it is... I cant wait for season 6! I love how this show had everything planned out before time. The writing is amazing! Im excited that Charlie is coming back, he was my favorite character, besides Desmond! man i can't wait! I hope Desmond comes back for season 6, but i dont see what more they can write for him... btw, was Clair pregnant in season 5? because she looked a little bigger and i thought thats why they wrote her out... I hope they explain how Jack's dad is involved
Claire wasn't in Season 5 because the writers claim they purposely kept her off of Season 5 to build suspense for when she returns in Season 6 but a lot had to do with her shooting a bunch of movies (one of them being Public Enemies) while Lost was being filmed and thus didn't have time to go back and forth to Hawaii.
I think the title refers to ... Spoiler the alternate history created by Juliet's detonation of the bomb, a la Americna History X.
maybe the guy who said he would kill Jacob impersonated Locke, and Jack's dad. Maybe thats why clair thinks he is still alive
i slightly remember my local radio station reporting that she was pregnant(the actress not the character)and they also reported that she complained about sexual harassment from the guy that plays dezmonds character and they fired her.they also reported that she had a miscarrage(sp)and blamed it due to the stress that all of that caused and was suing.anybody else hear about this?or was this a joke thing that i tuned in late for?
Yes and no, It was not Emilie de Ravin, who plays Clair that he sexually harassed , rather a production worker http://www.docarzt.com/lost/lost-news/henry-ian-cusick-is-accused-of-sexual-harassment/
