According to Cardinals insider, Larry Fitzgerald has re-structured his deal. More information here. It looks as if the team is going to make a move to look up Boldin to a long term deal. http://www.azcardinals.com/blog/blog.php?author=1
Good for Fitz. He has proven to not only be one of the very best Recievers in the league, but also one of the better (and smarter) players in the league period. I think that: A) This is also trickle down from Kurt Warner as he did it first B) some of the numerous asshats (Ochostinko, Turdell) should take notice. This is the type of move that will propel the Cards back to the big dance while the Bills and Bengals will be competing for the first pick overall
Awesome. Ill be going for the Cards on the NFC side. Fitzgerald has really become the prime receiver of the league and showed it to the whole world in the Super Bowl.
Not really. No where does it say he took a pay cut, they just restructured it, which usually is simply an accounting move that frees up cap space for this year by guaranteeing and moving the money into latter years. Its a good move for the Cards though and I hope they can indeed lock up Boldin.
Fitzy is the type of player I'd want on my team. No doubt about it, dominates on the field, and is a class act, and does whats best for the team, not himself.
Agreed. In fact both Taylor and Thomas and I believe Madison and Surtain, as well, restructured their contracts more than once to help with the salary cap.
