Obviously... I'm referring to the fact he brought the subject up specifically to the media and made it sound as tho Crowder's development would be something they were putting a lot of work into.
You're right just like the rest of his career, he's done nothing. He only had to lose 12 pounds for conditioning this year and he has not had a regular season game to get suspended from yet. He had some good practices against the starting "O" line, but that hardly gets in him position for a breakout season.
Gotta go with Sparano on that though DfDupree, Channing must step up his game for the defense to improve, this isn't the bad old days were a player could be mediocre.
He has shown nothing to show that he is going to be suspended. He is someone who has the talent. This season is one where we will see if he is one of those players who the light turns on
Paul Soliai was running down field with Ronnie Brown, he showed up to camp in shape and has played well in practice, if his light does come on we could have our version of Ngata for the Ravens, and players like that are virtually impossible to find.
Well...khm...Parde, I love your enthusiasm. And you know that im a homer like nobody else...but claiming that Soliai is on Ngata's level is a bit too soon, no?
Exactly.... He was smart enough to realize he was already in enough trouble and he needed to chill for his own sake as well as the team.
Absolutely, Ngata is the man at his position, Soliai is just as athletic a big man though, that is the only point I was trying to make a productive Soliai would push our Dline upwards. Soliai hasn't shown that athleticism out on the field, he is showing some flashes of it, and that means he can do it, whether he will do it remains to be seen.
I see where you coming from, and i DO think he has the potential. He has the quickness that can not be thaught...you either have it as a big boi, or you don't. THis guy has it. Now what he will do with it, is a qustion.
And overpriced. Look at the difference in what Bart Scott got to go to NY compared to CC's contract. Is there that much disparity in talent? Even though I like Scott, I think not.
We are not going to have Buoniconti, Offerdahl and Zach types all the time at MLB. Let's be appreciative when we do. Channing is a solid ILB, about on a par with guys who were good blue collar workmanlike players for us, like Steve Towle and Rusty Chambers. One more thing, IMO too many fans make too big a deal of merely tackle totals. They can be misleading. The more a defense is on the field the more tackles the players on that unit will have. A good defense that gets a high pct of 3 and outs won't have their ILBs racking up huge tackle numbers. I like Patrick Willis as much as anyone here, but SF's defense was on the field an awful lot last year from what I recall.
Sure you do. Blind homerism Oh wait. You're objective in your observations? Then forget what I said above.
Saturday practice Mr. C, the pass ended up being picked off. http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football/miami-dolphins/story/1177972.html
