Ok I feel the guy that took the video should be nailed to a wall if it was without her permission. On the other hand I WANN SEE THE VID. Sent you my email mor please send me the vid or url for the down load when you get a chance. It has definitely greatly increased her name recognition.

Deadspin just posted an article about it. They claim it was an adjoining room and not through the peephole. He said anyone can buy that type of spy gear for about $400. Kinda scary...yet useful, information
Not I, there is -0- interest on my part in watching the thing, I just thought it was an interesting story concerning someone from ESPN I didn't know very well. I will say a part of me thinks such covert video taping of celebs is not surprising, especially with one who mainly is on air and rather pretty..
The quality is poor and it is a gross invasion of privacy, it's got to be tough to be famous anymore, bad enough they snap the upskirt shots coming out of vehicles and the like, this takes it one step lower.
I'll take your word for the quality of the video, but IMHO, someone recognized her (perhaps even stalked her) and took the video, which brings up a really scary vista. Who walks around with a reverse peep hole camera at a Hotel? IMO someone who makes a habit of covertly filming women through the thing, it may be prudent from here on out for women to cover the peep hole when they check into a room because there are some really sick bastids out in the world doing crap like this.
I think it's most definitely someone that's done this before. I hope that when they catch him, they plaster his name and face all over the web. Then again, that would only dredge this thing up again for her.
hahah when I scrolled down I saw the image and I heard Mr. Burns say Excellent in my head. I actually think its someone who works at the hotel. Somebody that knows her routine.
When the guy taped it he didn't know it was Erin Andrews. When he put it on the deadspin website it said a girl that looks like Erin Andrews
It was actually hosted by another site in France for 2 months before anyone noticed. It still hasn't been confirmed as her, but ESPN's lawyers pounced on it and forced the site to take it down. They have the IP of the user who originally posted it, but that's no guarantee he's the one who did this.
I read that they think they guy is someone who works with Erin. There are 8 videos and two different hotel rooms. So it must be someone who has traveled with her. It may not be EA, but at the end of the 8th video (My copy is all spliced together) you can see the facial structure pretty good and It looks like hers. Could be a coincidence. Why did Erin and ESPN even respond to this ****? It's not like anyone could know for sure. All she had to say was "It was not me, and 'll sue anyone who says otherwise" instead of what's actually happening...
Because it was really her and she was devastated? She has a great bod but her face is meh. Looks like a man almost.
A future in what? If part of her and other womens' struggle is to be taken seriously in the profession, how does this help? If anything, it marginalizes her. Pretty sure she'd prefer this never happened.
so there are benefits to having your privacy invaded. I somehow think if your privacy was being invaded you would have a slight problem with it and see no benefit.
Name recognition. I don't think it helps her with what she actually does and I also agree with you that she would probably prefer it never happened. It does help people know who she is though.
