So earlier this week, i let everyone know that blogtalkradio has updated the chat room for the shows....which is badass. well i had heard through the grape vine that they would be having the free package (which i use) and new pay packages.....i had wondered what you would be paying for.....well its pretty incredible....and close to the real thing (radio station)

It is insane....the switchboard i have now for my show....allows me to play music that i upload, bring on a caller, mute a caller, and hang up a caller......thats it....

the new package....(premium package) includes the following:

-you can edit archived shows.....and replace them (for example....me and E have some dead air....or someone called in a blasted F bombs....i can take the show, put it in garage band....edit out the bad stuff, even add some sound bites or something and re-load it into the archived shows) so thats awesome

-this is the best stuff yet.....with the premium package....i can screen callers....by that i mean....if for example i have 4 people on hold, and i dont know who they are....i can play 1 minute of music or something, and "screen them" by that....i would click the "screen caller" button next to the caller, it would bring me and the caller on a private line....i would say "hey this is chris....whats your name what do you wanna talk about" they would say "tim wanna talk about ronnie brown" i could end the screen, putting me back on the air, i can type in the "info" button next to that caller "tim-wants to discuss ronnie brown" and everytime i highlight the info button for that caller.....the name and discussion topic pops up so i know who to bring on depending on where the show is going and where i wanna take the show......amazing

-also.....i can dial out!!!!! what that means is, from my switchboard i can "dial out" a business for example....and prank call them. or if i have a guest....and they havent called in, i can call them and bring them on the air myself.....or for another example Erics mic fails (like usual) i can call him, and bring him on the show....its incredible...

-also....a new feature...i can have a 3 hour show. 2 hours is no longer the maximum. thats awesome.

-another add on.....advertising.....yes.....my show would be advertised on the BTR site minimum 2500 times a month.......either by banners, rolling advertisments etc etc...thats unbelievable....

-and the last upgrade......i can click to host.....just as listeners in the free version can "click to talk" and just use their headset and talk on the show.....i can click a button, and host through my headset through their own personal voip system. right now i pay 4 dollars a month to get unlimited calls through skype....and i must call from skype to bring myself onto the show.....so that takes away the need for skype, and the 3rd party.

all in all.....this is absolutley incredible....it is the closest thing to the real radio producer you can get.....its un real.....the best part of all is....call screening....i can get a producer (inflames or even eric) that i wold give my account info to, they could sign on the same time as me.....and i can host the show....they can screen callers without me needing to get off the air.....this is un real.

the problem? of course there is a catch.....its 39.99 a month

i wish i was making some dough for this....we could put it into the show....for now....its just the free switch board.....we still got the upgraded chat room which i tested this week with jason and its 1million times better. anyways thought i would share with the listeners what BTR has done....its pretty awesome....heres a video showing the upgrades.
