This stuff is amazingly delicious and goes with pretty much everything. One of the only other food product to rival its diversity in terms of how many foods it can be used on is maple syrup IMO. Any other fans of Nutella?
Glad you like it. Buy more of it. My company carries that and i stock it regularly. So buy more and make me some money.
Was a huge fan of it until I ate a whole jar of it with a spoon when I was 12... Haven't touched it since... :barf:
This stuff is foul. . and answer me this what is it with Jelly (jam to us in the UK) and peanut butter sandwiches. . I tried it once. . GAG. .
I have bread and a jar of peanut butter in my office in case I get hungry hahaha Guess it's just one of those things that's part of growing up in the States
So...what we call jelly you call jam? Just out of curiosity what do you call the stuff that we call jam? What about marmalade, preserves and fruit spread? Yeah, I know I'm being kind of a smart a$$; but I'm still curious.
me too... only it wasn't a whole jar probably about half...still it was eough to make me stop... for good
My girlfriend loves nutella, said they had it when she went to UC Davis. We went to paris, and I wasn't a fan of it at all. But then again, I like savory things more than sweet, so yeah I always got the savory crepes. I'm embarrassed to mention some of the weird combos I put together as a kid, but hey, my family was insanely poor so you ate whatever was in the house. Bologna/PB. Rice and soy sauce. Yeah those were the days ...
Well, we weren't poor growing up, but my Paternal Grandmother, learned lessons from the depression, and created some amazing combo's. To this day, Mayonnaise and Potato Chip Sandwich (Salt & Vinegar especially) will always have a soft spot in my pallet.
oh is that how you pronounce it? What's on YOUR mind? I said she likes newt. :-). But yeah I wouldn't date a girl who didn't like nut. What's the point of the relationship. Might as well eat a tree Posted via Mobile Device
once i worked with a greek lady who ate that stuff religiously. never tried it, but i dont see how it could be better than a PBJ sammich.
The perfect PBJ sandwich: 1 slice of white bread with peanut butter topped with sliced bananas, put on another slice of white bread, top that with strawberry preserves and marshmallow fluff... Top with a final slice of bread... Then, if you want to go really crazy, dip the whole thing in french toast batter and grill it golden brown, sprinkle with powdered sugar and eat it with a fork...
you guys have jam. .I have not been to the states and was told once by a friend that went there that you call jam jelly. . is this not the case. . please dont tell me you actually put JELLY into a sandwich. . Jelly is a gelatinous sweet made with water and set in the fridge while jam is a fruit preserve made with sugar. . so which is it. . jelly or jam that you do these peanut butter sandwices with? now im confused. . damn incorrect knowledge. .
Publix makes a dulce de leche ice cream... We tried it a while ago and loved it. Translated "dulce de leche" means sweet milk; well when my Dad went to work he recommended it to some of his co-workers, but he incorrectly said it meant "mother's milk." HAHA. True story too.
Jelly is more ....??jelly-like Jam is more spreadable Me I prefer to use jam for the above reason. By the way the first picture is JELLO, not jelly Man, they've got you all confused, brother. As to what others call it..yeah I can see that some would maybe refer to jam as jelly as kind of a generic term. Much the same way some people will call all brands of facial tissue a kleenex or all adhesive bandages band-aids.... Jam, jelly, marmalade, fruit curd, preserves etc... If its a fruit spread it must be jelly.
My international teacher was talking about working abroad for a company (he had done it when he was younger) and he actually addressed Peanut Butter; he basically said Peanut Butter is only real popular in the US and that you will have a hard time finding it in other places (he lived in the Czech Republic, Russia, Japan, etc.). I just thought that was very weird, but it does make sense... the question is why do us Americans like it??? lol
On the subject of Nutella, I have a great recipe for you all. Had it at a friends house when I was younger and loved it... 1.) You slice a Pineapple horizontally about a inch thick. (He left the rind on) 2.) Then you grill the Pineapple slices real quick. Basically this seals in the flavor and actually makes it sweeter. I am not sure how long he left it on for, but I think its high heat for only a little bit. The out side should still be yellow... not black. 3.) Put some Nutella on top. Spread it around the top, not too thin and but not to thick; you should cover about 80% of the pineapple slice but leave the edges uncovered. 4.) Put some whip cream on top. 5.) Enjoy. It was amazing!!
Im from the UK man and here it is Jelly. . not Jello. . and jam is a fruit spread as is marmalade and lemon curd etc. . jelly is solid but water based gelatin set in a fridge. . We have Peanut butter here. . I love the stuff but honestly it's fine on its own but with either Jello (jelly) or with a fruit spread such as jam/marmalade. . eewww what gives. . .??
