Dwight has had a great game, if he can go up in Boston and play that well. Game over for the Celtics.
Sorry, I had to clean up the broken coffee table after jumping on it Hell yeah! Nice way to shove it down their throat at the end with that 3 by Turk. Headed back to Boston!
Dwight obviously wanted it more tonight. I wish he wanted it that much every night. I think Howard is a guy that cares a lot about his public perception. He had a lot at stake tonight reputation-wise, and he came up huge. He can still do better, but the effort was 100% tonight. Something I noticed during the broadcast. Everytime Orlando made a mistake or missed a shot, ESPN was quick to spit out a negative stat about Orlando. But I don't think I heard them say one negative thing about Boston all night long. It's just sad.
yeah, you could tell at the end of the game whenever Boston scored the commentators were pretty excited, you'd think the game was on a local Boston network.
For good reason... They are the reigning champions... and we have collapesed in games multiple times and have had controversy between our players and coach (Gortat, AJohnson, and Howard). Until they start playing hard every night and not collapse at end of games like tonight... they are going to be doubted and the champs are going to be fluffed... I LOVE what I saw out of Dwight. Hopefully, Dwight is growing up in this series... and this is what it took for Dwight to take that next step. I saw anger in Dwight all game. He had a look in his eyes. If he can harness that, and learn how to turn that on... thats what it takes to be an all time great. He has all the tools... just needs the personality. Hopefully, he is taking that next step as a player...
The announcers finally acknowledged how huge of a loss Jameer Nelson's injury has been for us. They both agreed that his loss was bigger in comparison to KG due to the fact that he is the point guard, and basically is the hardest position to play and excel at.
Ok, serious question. It seems like everytime I watch us play in the playoffs we looe. I saw game four and game five; tonight I was working and inable to watch the game and we win. So do I watch game seven or not? One part of me is saying not to be selfish and the other part is saying that me watching the game in Orlando, Florida isn't going to effect Game 7 in Boston at all. What do you all think????
watch the game bro. its gonna be one that magic fans wont forget anytime soon. this is the furthest we've gotten in the playoffs since getting swept by the Bulls in the 96 East Finals. As a Magic fan of 20 years, I've seen many playoff appearances, and many early exits. Detroit axed us the last three years in a row, and that was getting old. This year Orlando took a step forward into the limelight. They are finally a consensus top 5 team in the league. You gotta watch this game if you get the chance. It could be their last.
I say dont watch it and DVR it... If we win... you can still go back and watch the game. If we lose, it saves you the pain of watching us lose game 7...
Boston...17-3 all-time at home in game 7's. The leprechans will be out in force. If you see any of these officials doing the game...orlando is toast: Dick Bavetta Violet Palmer Joe Crawford
Thanks for the heads up, I saw all kinds of Boston home stats last night after the game too. I think we can get it done, we just gotta get in their heads like in Game 1. Boston didn't know what was going on, and just got it together a little too late. We need to do that again, but it's hard to do. Whatever happens, I just don't want to see those bastards win again, anybody but them.
I definitely agree with that. These two are the biggest jokes in all of officiating history of any sport.
Big big big big game tonight. Alot on the line. The Magic can really obtain alot of street cred tonight with a win in Bean town. If they lose it's going to be holy hell on ESPN from here on out.
So, I won't be able to watch the game tonight because of work. Hopefully that means we will win like games 3 and 6, both of which I didn't watch. So if we win it's because of me not watching the game lol. Also I had a dream last night that there was a lose ball and Rashard Lewis dove for the ball, then 2 Celtics (one of them was that douche Rondo, can't remember the other) dove on top of Lewis in an attempt to get the ball. It was a blatent foul on the two Celtics, but the refs called a BS foul against the Magic and the Celtics got the ball back. When the 2 Celtics where getting off Lewis, Lewis got pissed and kind of shook them off (how a NFL player does when he is on the ground and defenders are still hanging onto him a while after the play was over). The Refs then said they were going to the monitor to see if Rashard should be ejected. Then I woke up. Scratch the dream comment, that was a full blown nightmare. To me though that says something about the officiating in this series. I am having nightmares about the calls already. Anyways, GO MAGIC!!!!!
Keys to the game for Orlando: Dont force shots Dwight recognizing the triple team and feeding the backside 3 Hedo playing within himself and not disrupting the flow of the ball to play 1 on 5 Attack Perkins and Davis with Dwight early in the game to get one of them on the bench at all times. Continue to press Eddie House and match his intensity. Double team Pierce the entire game, dont let him score 30. Make Rondo shoot 20 shots.
Great points, also, don't let the Ref's come off thinking Rondo is an invincible non fouling POS that doesn't deserve to be benched by the 3rd quarter.
