    Sweet....:hi5:

I don't expect the Bruins to just rollover and go away either, there is going to be some real hitting going on in that one.

That Canuck goalie is awful, they'd do better with a cardboard cutout then with him.

He just gave up two easy goals within 1 minute of each other in the third period of an elimination game, cripes is he garbage right now.

Make that 7-5, he's given up 3 goals in 4 minutes.

    Kind of funny

    1. Luongo has a good chance to be Canadas goalie in 2010
    2. Unified says Russia will give up 5 goals which Chicago did tonight
    3. You say Russia will score 7 which Chicago did on Luongo tonight

    So you 2 predicted 7-5:up:

He's one of the best in the World who had a REALLY bad night. Pat Roy gave up 7 in an elimination game once, it happens to everyone. He was terrible tonight but not all the blame goes on him IMO. On a few of them the Canucks in zone coverage was brutal, leaving guys alone to make plays.

Good series by the Hawks although, they are a chirpy bunch that takes a lot of stupid penalties and get away with a lot. The officiating was god awful in that game. The Blackhawks got away with two plain as the nose on your face interference calls and a high stick that should not have been missed since it was on the flow of the puck.

If they play the next series like they did this one the Red Wings will destroy them.

Luongo is in the mix but Steve Yzerman is watching the playoffs and has to see that Luongo has not been sharp. He has a pretty big choice to make right now. does he go with Brodeur and Luongo? Cam Ward is definitely played himself into the mix, I think he's been the best goaltender in the playoffs so far.

That's why the World Championships mean less than nothing.

In 2010 when Canada has their top 6 d-men out there against the Russians dynamic forwards THAT will be something to see.

Of course, Russia has to play defense at some point and they don't have much and it's not like Canada is going to ice a bunch of stiff at forward.

I can't really blame the officials when after the first few games he played worse, he had several 4+ goals allowed games.

But you do have to hand it to the Blackhawks, they took the games over.

Another game where the Pens badly outplayed the Caps and Varly kept them in. What a series so far!

Hopefully they can figure him out on Wednesday night!

Totally agree with the 'Hawks taking games over. Their footspeed upfront exposed the slow footed Canucks defense. This time of year always exposes slow footed defensemen that play too many minutes.

I've only really watched 2 series in this round and I've seen it all over the place. In the Vancouver series I saw Mattias Ohlund and Willie Mitchell both get beaten time and time again. Not enough foot speed and too many minutes and in the Boston series it's been the same thing with Aaron Ward.

I still think if the 'Hawks play the Wings in the WCF they will get rocked.

I believe last time Russia and Canada played at the Olympics, its the Canadians that had trouble scoring losing 2 - 0.

Just wondered how you hockey fans think it will go tonight against the Bruins and the Hurricanes. It's CRAZY up here. Everybody's got flag's on their cars and stuff. I guess they're not used to that going this far in a season up here. You guys think Boston will win, or Carolina takes it tonight at home? Thanks for the input.

Sorry Unified but I think tonight is the night the Canes knock out the #1 seed

Ward has been dynamite and I see a 3-1 game

It's going to be fun. I have to leave town for the day and I wasn't going to be able to watch the first two periods but I have managed to tell my boss in the last hour that I will be in front of a T.V. when the game starts regardless.

Nice, the way I see it, the Red Wings are the premiere franchise in the NHL right now, a game seven involving them would be unexpected.

Pens and Caps, two of the top names in the NHL take their teams against each other, loser goes home.

And I'm personally invested in the Canes and Bruins due to home state loyalties....go Canes!

this was alot like Boston - Atlanta first round series in NBA last year.
Nobody really thought that they could make a run at Boston..but they did. Playing back and forth, until game 7 in boston. Where they got smacked by like 35 points. lol

Nah, I did not catch the whole game as the Pens jumped out to the huge lead and the game just did not interest me afterwards.

I'm glad your loving the Pens moving on though Pagan, but at this rate you may use up all the bandwith on thephins over in the Ladies Lounge...:wink2:

for a while there they were looking like they weren't even going to make the playoffs.

i would attribute the winnings to your new head coach. that guy lit a fire under their *** big time.

I don't know about you guys, but im sick of how inconsistent the nhl's officials are throughout these playoffs... they've been terrible in the wings/ducks game tonight. Its ruining the game... diehard canadian(and american) hockey fans will always love the game, but I can see why the casual american (and canadian) fans have abandoned it... the things that were penalties in the reg season, no longer are. Things that should be called now, arent one period, then are the next... Guys are getting thrown out of faceoffs due to the refs basically... not dropping the puck... at an alarming rate... bettman is slowly drilling the game into the ground. its now wonder ratings suck.
