Actually bro, I use a different logic. Whichever team my team loses to I WANT to win the Cup.

That way I can say we lost to the champs, and not some other team that eventually lost. :wink2:

What a disgusting effort tonight by the Bruins.

Chara is getting owned by Eric Staal. No one is moving their feet. I am still waiting for the B's to throw their first hit. I am totally repulsed right now. I'm trying to figure who is the best Bruin so far because absolutely no one has been worth mentioning.

Tim Thomas is to blame on the short handed goal to make it 2-0. He had all day to come out and get the loose puck (like every goalie does when his team is on the powerplay) but he waited, then got too deep in his net and after a quick breakdown it's behind him.

The Bruins powerplay is hilarious right now. 0 for their last billion. To top it off they allow a shorthanded goal.

They are playing disciplined hockey but in my opinion they are TOO disciplined. I'll take the odd penalty if it means you are actually being physical. I think Julien has them so spooked to take a ****ing penalty that they are afraid to hit anyone.

Total domination by the Bruins in the 3rd period but Cam Ward has been unbelievable.

Carolina got cheated out of a 3rd goal at the end of the 2nd period....the puck was clearly across the line. I am not sure what the heck the people in Toronto were looking at?

I try not to watch the first couple of games to closely though, it seems like when I turn the game on the TV, the 'Canes are in deep kimchi, now that it's 1-1, I'll watch the matches.

There was indisputable video evidence that the puck crossed the goaline? I'd like to know what specific angle you saw that led you to that conclusion. I watched the entire telecast and saw nothing definitive. That situation was a perfect example of whatever call was made on the ice was going to be upheld.

A couple of thoughts on this series:

Game 1 was unbelievable at the Garden. It was great to celebrate a thorough thrashing of the Hurricanes and even though the Bruins didn't play particularly well, the Hurricanes were pathetic.

Game 2 was a different story entirely. Where the hell was Milan Lucic? Carolina had no answer for him at all in Game 1. If Milan isn't being physical, he's of no use to this team... they should just suit up Byron Bitz if that's truly the case. And what the hell happened to the PP? It was bad in Game 1 and DREADFUL in Game 2. They better get it worked out, fast.

You have to give Carolina alot of credit evening up the series in Boston before heading home. They were the hungrier hockey team, especially in the 2nd period. I think the Bruins will be OK, though. Its probably a good thing that they were humbled at home because they haven't faced any type of adversity in the postseason. I fully expect them to answer the bell in Game 3 on Wednesday night.

The angle when the puck was on its side, midway across the goal line

I saw the red line a little bit of white for the ice and then the pick on its side

    We'll see...

Russia has an advantage upfront (a slim advantage though) but Canada has the best defense in the World (they have at least a dozen guys that are better then Russia's #1 guy) and a decided advantage in goal.

The only team that scares me as a Canadian is Sweden. They can roll 4 lines, they have top defenseman and great goaltending. The U.S. will be too small and young. Finland's depth is a joke and their goaltending is overrated. The Czech's are thin (and old) with goaltending issues. The Slovaks have no depth and their goaltending has always been poor.

The only way Team Canada is not in the gold medal game in 2010 in my hometown is if they run into a REALLY hot goaltender or have injuries.

BTW...that was a goal in my opinion. The puck was totally over the line when it was on edge. Doesn't matter anyway because the Bruins were AWFUL for the 1st two periods.

That said, if they play like they did in the 3rd they will roll. Cam Ward was really hot though. The only players worth mentioning positively were Marc Stuart (he needs more minutes because Andrew Ference is still hurt and played terribly) and the 4th line.

Chara was brutal all night, Wideman was poor (hit the net PLEASE), Ference was the worst player on the ice (he forced 3 shots on goal when he was not even challenged at the blueline that led to blocks and rushed the other way), Kessel was a non factor (he fell down a dozen times and had a hole in his stick, fanning on 2 good chances), Lucic has yet to hit anyone in 2 games, Blake Wheeler needs to play bigger, Mark Rechii has been a non factor all playoffs, Bergeron missed a WIDE *** OPEN net that would have changed the complexion of the game and Tim Thomas had a braincramp that led to the 'Canes shorty.

The only forwards that have played well consistently are Savard, Kobasew, Ryder, Krejci and the 4th line although Krejci had a tough night last night and Ryder was a non factor.

I'm worried about Cam Ward though. If he plays like he did last night for the rest of the series this could be over quick. He was outstanding.

Amen...Malkin is disappearing again like he did in the finals last year.

And the defense and coaching needs to wake up. How the **** do you NOT have a man ghosting Ovie during the PP? :pity:

The man's got the best shot in the game...have one defender on him CONSTANTLY. Let the other three deal with the rest of the PP.

:tantrum::tantrum::tantrum::tantrum::tantrum:If the Bruins don't start getting the ****ing puck out of their ****ing zone when they get a ****ing chance they are done.:tantrum::tantrum::tantrum::tantrum::tantrum:

The ENTIRE defense gets the loss tonight hung around their necks. The breakout passes were non existent leading to no transition offense. They could not get dump ins because they could not get the puck on offense in the neutral zone with speed because the defense was handling the puck like a ****ing hand grenade.

Steve Montador was directly responsible for the first 2 goals. CLEAR THE PUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Andrew Ference is hurt again (which will thankfully take him out of the lineup because he's been awful). Aaron Ward was brutal tonight. Zdeno Chara played too many minutes and looked done at the end (he was playing with a lot of edge in the 1st period from the 2nd on he played small). Dennis Wideman is overhandling the puck. Mark Stuart was the best of the bunch but that is like saying "I'm the tallest midget".

If the defense does not start making the simple play (either D to D and up to the supporting winger or off the glass and out) they are dead. Yes, they are not scoring but the Bruins offense all year has come from break outs of the zone, dump ins and puck pursuit. It all starts from the back end.

The cardiac Canes are at it again Unified, a part of why they are winning is they fired Laviolette and rehird Maurice who plays a choking style of defense, they don't push the puck typically and adding Jokinen and Cole has changed the offense.

It's difficult to get breaks on them now, the Bruins aren't patient enough, or haven't been patient enough to run an offense effectively.

    Either way...2-1..I'll take it.

How do you say that? They Pens have clearly outplayed the Caps the past two games. Varly has been the difference. Last night's game would have been a blowout had Varly not been on top of his game.

The Pens continue to play like they did last night and we'll be even up come tomorrow.

Shouldn't you be out fishing with your team? :tongue2:
