Not millions, but I have walked away with some good coinage. So do you not think 9-7 is close to being right looking at the schedule? Why can't you make an educated guess? That is why they call it "predictions".
i think the easiest part of our schedule is our division! Of course that says a lot, since we always have tough division games. Our schedule is beyond tough! Bring it on!
why couldn't it be during the day when its hot as hell? I dislike that we dont have alot of early games in sept-oct.
i'm not sure what everyone's said in response to this b/c i don't feel like reading the whole thread, but this game is in Atlanta. http://www.miamidolphins.com/newsite/news/top_story.asp?contentID=6386
I really like our schedule. Four prime time games has me very excited, with 3 being at home, including the Jets on MNF. The only thing I don't like is the lack of 1:00 home games. We only have 3 this year and the first one isn't until Week 10, and the last two are Weeks 16 and 17. I'm so firggin' excited for the season. Bring it on!
Disspointed we cant play up the miami heat this year, but we need to see we also arent being hit by december games in NY, NE or Buff. The middle of the schedule is tough, 6 of 8 on the road at one point. We definately need to start the season strong and finish strong. I can see us heading into the bye undefeated honestly. We always play the colts and bolts tough, and I think the colts are fading and bolts are overrated. Bills and Jets we just need to win those divisional games, cant blow early home games. Atlanta will be the tough one imo, that running game is nasty, we need our beef to play hard and dominate that line!
To be honest, I predicted, at the very most, 6 wins for us last year after I saw the schedule. What transpired after was beyond my wildest dreams. Still any given Sunday IMO.
Gotta say, I think you're right...unfortunately. And, I hope we're both wrong. Hope to see another 11-5 season and another AFCE crown. But, I think we have several things working against us: 1) Brutal schedule. Say what you will about strength of schedule and how it fluctuates from season to season (which, I agree with). But, several of our opponents are perennially tough teams (Colts, Chargers, Bucs, Panthers, Jags, etc.). Throw out last year's W/L record, I'm just talking about physically tough teams. Add to that the AFCE has become one of the more competitive divisions in the NFL, and you have a much tougher schedule than the one we had last year. 2) As has been pointed out, we have four prime time games. Which, is great because we all get to watch them. But, you have to wonder if that might affect the performance of a team like the Dolphins. You know, a younger team. A team that sort of flew under the radar for a good portion of the second half last season. In other words, might they press and under perform because they are being watched by a national TV audience? 3) The cat is out of the bag. The Wildcat that is. And, let's face it. Gadget plays and gadget schemes (like the Wildcat) are usually derived from need. In other words, Miami implemented the Wildcat to offset certain deficiencies on the offensive side of the ball. But, hey...it worked, so who's complaining? Certainly not me. BUT...everyone and their mother is gonna know about it going into this season. And, they're not only going to be prepared for it, they're gonna use it against us too. It is a copy-CAT league after all. Add it all up, and I think it means we probably take a bit of a step backwards this upcoming season, at least in terms of W/L record. But, that's just one man's opinion. And, like I said...I hope I'm wrong.
here is the problem 9-7 isn't going to get you in the playoffs! this is a horrible schedule for the Fins and Im telling you right now 9-7 is our record and everyone says last year was a fluke. (Not that is was) They are setting us up that if we don't win 11-5 again were not a real team. How the hell does year after year Pittsburgh play easy schedules!? i mean they won the superbowl last year and now they have the third easiest schedule!!? Just give them another Superbowl so we can hear all the white trash toothless truckers scream how freaking fantastic that ****ty city and team is..
