Sanchez moving up; Crabtree, Harvin dropping http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/NFLDraft/Draft+Extras/2009/value041409.htm Scouting reports on top five wide receivers http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/NFLDraft/Draft+Extras/2009/top5WR.htm
In my current mock, I have Sanchez going to Seattle ahead of Stafford. The Seahawks have not tried to hide the fact that they like the kid. He seems tailor made for that offense, and he could sit a year or two behind Hasselback.
The thing with Seattle is Walter Jones has microfracture knee problems so chances are good another tackle is what they need this time around./
I'm confident no matter where they are drafted, barring injury, both will be fine players in the league. If Barwin gets passed over to the 3rd, stranger things have happened, a lot of teams are going to be 2nd guessing themselves in a couple of years.
Only way they take a OT at the top of the draft is if Monroe or Smith slip to them. As of right now, I don't have either slipping to them.
And my man Veikune is right there in the 3rd round as well. To me, the 2a and 2b and the 6th and 7th rds have more then the usual amount of talent in them, the 7th round has some real value in it this year according to the chart anyway.
Maybe, the could take Meridith in the early second, but there are some good LT prospects this time around Alen, with Jones's balky knee and athletic age it wouldn't surprise if they went LT. Herm Johnson in the 4th is a good deal BTW.
They still could, KC doesn't need a LT, if the lions go Stafford then they have their pick of either Smith or Monroe.
I know, that's why I said if one of the top two OT's are there, they could select him. KC could select a LT and move Albert to G.
Hard to say, Pioli is in his first year, he has no pattern to what he does as of yet, but Albert had a fine year at LT and the Chiefs have needs all over the place and are working on trading Gonzo to Atlanta. I thought they were a shoo in for Curry, now...who knows?
Agreed. It wouldn't shock me if they took a LT and moved Albert to LG, I still like Curry there though.
I'm not seeing it Alen, the Pats never poured money into their Oline and using two #1 picks, including one in the top 5 just to move a fine LT to G doesn't make sense. If they feel Curry can play OLB, or Crabtree would fit their offense, it wouldn't surprise me, maybe even BJ Raji because Dorsey playing NT seems absurd.
Mayock suggested drafting Monroe and moving Albert to RT to protect their investment in Cassel. They look pretty solid at G, but just have Rudy Niswanger at C. He was a UDFA in '06, very bright, worked his way to full time starter in 2008. Damion McIntosh is their starting RT. Remember they overpaid him when he signed as a UDFA a couple of years ago. Not sure if it would be cost effective to cut him, if they drafted Monroe. Haven't checked the cap hit they'd take.
