Well I'll slap myself now... but he's going to have to do it again.

You've got to be kidding me. Unlikely shots all over the place by New Orleans.

Dwyane Wade sucks... don't care what anyone says. Two games that end on Wade turnovers in one week.

He cried like a ***** for the foul of course. Chris Paul didn't even swipe at the ball.

Not his fault we can't rebound or play D.
Not his fault at all for that.

Dan Marino sucks he threw an INT.

    :tongue2:

Stop hating on Wade before I'm forced to start hating on you

No, but it's his fault that he can't close out a game at the free throw line when he's reaching out to the media to self proclaim himself the MVP of the league. It's his fault that he loses the ball at the end of the game without anyone even swiping at it.

I give Wade breaks all the time and bash the role players and poor Mr. Spoelstra instead. Enough of that now. How many times over the last month has Wade cost us the game down the stretch? 3-4 is a generous number. Forget that OT ever even existed... the guy is unreliable when it comes to knocking down a game clinching FT. He misses them ALL THE TIME. He's my favorite athlete ever and I love him to death, but he has SUCKED when it matters the most ever since that Chicago game.

He's lost that "Mr. Clutch" thing he had going for himself.

LOL. Are you serious? This team flat out SUCKS A$$ without Wade. Our record would be 30 under .500 without Dwade. So suck it up and deal with it.

And this team is not going to anything in the playoffs.

Instead of peaking to close out the season we are staggering to the finish line.

This is the most painful loss of the season... we were up by 4 points with a minute to go, New Orleans misses, rebounds over Jermaine, misses, grabs another rebound over Jermaine. And of course when it all bubbles down, Dwyane Wade = epic failure.

    In general.
Riley doesn't have much patience for instant offense if no D is attached to it. I love Beasley but he is going to be prime trade candidate until he develops a killer mentality on D.

That's your argument vs. the major choke job he pulled tonight? The major choke job against Dallas? The major choke job against Orlando where he scored 0 points in the final 7 minutes when we were up by 5? 2-3 other close games in the month of March? Please. We all know how great he is. No one is arguing against the FACT that he's a top 3 player in the league... the problem is, he's playing like a little ***** right now. And right now isn't the time for that.

Love the guy... always will... I know you love him as well. It doesn't excuse him from being hammered like the Jermaine O'Neal's of the world when his **** stinks.

The solution is simple. The season is long. Let's break it down in easier terms:

Miami Heat with Wade: 43 games won, 5th seed
    Miami Heat without Wade: 20-62?

Wade has no help on D and is forced to carry the load every single damn game. We can't board for sh*t and have a PG that shows up every other game. We have no depth at PG, a "center" who is flat footed, a talented rookie being suppressed by the coaching staff, and a bench that is inconsistent. Wade is immune from criticism. If Wade did not exist on this team the arena would be filled with 10,000 people and the Miami Heat would be irrelevant.

Hes hustling his *** off on D and has been hustling on D since the All Star break.

What he is lacking is the defensive awareness. But thats something that will come with experience. Hes really trying on D, and as long as he continues to do that, he will be fine...

sigh................... to the last 2 pages in this ****ing thread.

Beasley is 20 years old. let's stop with the kneejerk..."he is gonna get traded..he sucks on D" crap.

and YES..no way to slice it...Wade has ****ed up 4 games in the last two weeks. 4 wins we should have had.

    no way to sugarcoat it.

BTW...Paul did have him hooked on that play he threw it away...but that is no excuse.

My theory is that he was getting tired at the end of games....SPO then started resting him more going into the 4th...so being tired is no excuse.

btw..for whoever said that we are "staggering" to the finish line...didn;t we win 2 in a row coming in and played pretty well in the two losses we had around that win streak? so...nope.

I love Beas. But I also have been watching Riley operate for a very long time. I remember the trades he made when he arrived in Miami. And Beas is the type of player he maximizes value out of to ship off to find the missing peace. I hope my gut is wrong.

Without Wade there is no end of the game to f up.

Wade is playing a bit too aggressively on offense but nobody else on the team consistently steps it up.. On the last possession he should have dished it off though when he saw the double team coming.

BTW...David West pissing on Beasley in the overtime?

great Defense by Beasley. sometimes a ALL-STAR PF makes those shots. West did.

You know who played GREAT D and was unheralded because his offense was a disaster?

    Chalmers on Paul.

    The missing piece?

we are getting it for free in 2010.

trading Beasley for it is ******ed.

    Riley is not ******ed.

I love Beas. I'm just saying that I know Riley. And his past moves indicate to me that players with Beasley's skill set are expendable, especially if he can get a big guy or a bruising PF. Remember the trade rumors earlier in the season that already involved Beas for Amare?

In terms of staggering I'm not talking about the past week. The past month has been a see-saw. This is not like the 03 team that came in to the playoffs on fire. This team looks tired and is not peaking.

    BTW...Rasul Butler's 3....not a prayer.

    watch the replay.

he squared his shoulders..elevated...held his head still....stroked it.

pretty lucky bounce for it to get back to him after he bobbled it. lol.

Beasley missed on that rotation in the beginning of overtime, and he lost track of Marks on that ally-oop.

The defensive awareness isnt all there yet... but hes 20 years ol.

    That will come with time.

    LOL!!

what part of Beasley's skill set do you see as expendable? LOL!

Beasley's SKILL SET is what makes him UNTOUCHABLE. Not expendable.

that trade "rumor" was BS. we told Phoenix that Beasley was untouchable. That is why the trade did not happen.

Riley is about as likely to trade Beasley with 2010 around the corner as I am likely to start the 2009 season at RB for the Miami Dolphins.

your instinct is waaaaaaaay off on this one.

He has been clearing cap space for 2 years.

I doubt that he is gonna sabotague everything he has done for the last 2 years.

trust me...it is not only unlikey...it would be close to insane to do something like that.

How the hell can anyone complain about Beasley's performance tonight? He did a GREAT JOB on David West; West made all the tough shots. What are you gonna do? I guess we should blame Moon for Rasual Butler hitting that game tying shot..........in his face. Let's blame him for not being 10 feet tall with a 60 inch vertical leap so he could block the shot at that angle.

    Amen...

He did a very good job keeping West in front of him all game. He made West use the fade away multiple times. West just hit them. Nothing you can do as a defender on that...

Beasley made a couple of mental mistakes on defense tonight, but overall... he had one of his best games defensively IMO.

Beasley was very good tonight and SPO was VERY SMART.

When asked why he didn't start him, but gave him so many minutes...

he said that the Hornets like to feed West early and he didn't want Beasley to get a quick 2 fouls and have him out of the game.

His defense was actually very good...

look elsewhere if you want to blame somebody.

BTW..was it obvious ...how we were gonna lose after that miracle shot?

we ran them off the court in the last 2 minutes...took control and THAT happens?

When Wade missed that free throw...I had a bad feeling...

although i thought Peja would pull one out of his ***...

little did I know it was really gonna be a Rasul Butler chasing down a bobbled handoff and then shooting a 35 footer that hits nothing but net with a guy in Moon that can jump out of the building and Beasley at 6'9" in his face.

The only silver lining....Philly is tanking nasty...so the 5 spot looks like it is ours...but Rasul Butler might have ****ed up the 4th seed.

Got something good for you guys....

Spoke to my guy....got me a clarification.

They THOUGHT about fouling in that last possesion when Butler tied the game with that Three.

    THOUGHT About it.

They weren't clear about the INTENTIONAL FOUL rule.....

they sought clarification from the league.

THE LEAGUE (NBA) has told the heat and for that matter has covered this during their rules and refs symposiums..that it is UP TO THE DESCRETION of the Refs To decide if a FOUL was INTENTIONAL or not..regardless of wether the foul was in the act of making a PLAY ON THE BALL.

So...the Refs could have said...hey..it makes sense for them to foul here to try to kill the Hornet's chance at tying...so therefore..that is intentional...2 FT's and the Ball.

    That settles that.

more of a mental make-up thing. but it does raise the point that riley has never had a 20 and 10 power forward (assuming beasley becomes that).
