I think Denver made out like bandits with that deal. Also I did say that Denver would send him to an NFC team but I don't want to toot my own horn. :shifty:

Denver can really use these picks to build their team and Orton can work quite nicely in McDaniels's system. Good deal for Denver they sort of redeemed themselves here.

Worked out for everybody. Cutler's on another team, and one that plays in the cold weather, so he's used to that. And Denver got a replacement qb, though not as good as Cutler.

Did Chicago screw up giving way too much for a qb who is over rated ? I mean come on two first rounds and a third? Lets step back and compare Jay Cutler to (Please forgive me for mentioning the name) Jay Fiedler.
Cutler played 3 years in Denver so I took Fiedlers first three years with Miami.
    Cutler QBR-87.1 completion pct 62.5 for 9024 yrds /54 Tds 37 Ints.
    Fiedler(First 3 years in Miami)
    QBR-80.0 completion pct 59.9 for 8715 yrds /44 Tds 32 ints.
I believed Chicago will live to regret trading so much for a guy who has not yet to prove he is a real winner.
