Although for some reason, I believe that the Trifecta is more interested in Vontae Davis than Jenkins.
So if Davis is also there at #25 I think they go Davis.

Well, Boomer, CK and Con have Davis as their #1 corner on their web site, so they must all like him better.

I would take Jenkins given the choice and even though Jeff Darlington said they like Davis if he is there, when he was on Path to the Draft on NFLN, I think he was saying it because he too thinks so little chance Jenkins falls that low.

because i have a life and dont sit at the computer all day i dont know what a good mock is most the crap you talk about on here the political crap and fansty football and fansty mocks crap
no one in the NFL is going to take JAMES LAURINAITIS over REY MAUALUGA plus there is no way in hell that Matt Stafford is droping to #19 and if you think Malcolm Jenkins is going to drop past miami or even out of the top 15 then you shouldnt be making mocks it is just a bad mock Jenkins is the best CB in this draft by far

Nobody expected Aaron Rodgers or Brady Quinn to drop like they did, but it happened. You sure speak in certainties about the draft after admitting you have too much of a "life" to really follow it.

I dont think Del Rio can do that personally. Hes on the hot seat now and using his first overall on a QB I dont think would say much for his tenure there. Besides, their OL was horrendous, so maybe build that and give Garrard one more year.

The big dark horse I see few people talking about QB wise is ... St. Louis. New coach, aging injury prone vet in Bulder, retooling the entire offense. I can see them going several different ways. Top LT, QB, WR, all would work for them.

They let Barnes walk, and Thomas is a stop gap, Gerrard was a pro bowl level Qb 2 yrs ago, and with a poor Wr corps, so taking a Qb would be a stretch IMO.

The Rams are a mess, and have been for two years, the new HC has to deal with Pace being cut before they really can try to move Bulger out of the line up.

They remind me of the Rams teams before Vermeil got there, maybe they are starting the process all over again, acquiring high picks that never seem to play well, then in one season they just come out of nowhere.

im convince Detroit goes with Stafford as the #1. Especially after trading Kitna to Dallas and now just trading for LB Julian Peterson. They say Curry can play MLB but i dont think they go with him now if though they are hosting him tomorrow

    Well away from here
He could go to the strong side. That is a possibility. I wonder.

I just don't like putting a QB with a team at the top who happens to need a QB - the Alex Smith syndrome. Is Stafford really worth it? Is he the best player, the most consistent, reliable etc.? I can't check all of those as a yes.

I think being a QB he is being overvalued. Where would he rate next year by comparison?

Curry is an OLB in the 43 and an ILB in the 34

I dont see any way detroit takes Curry. Either inside or out a LB is a horrible value at #1, and while value is not the be all end all, it does play a part.

Its between LT and QB for them. I know Stafford has alot of detractors, but I think hes is easily the best QB in this bunch and that he is worthy of #1. Many will disagree I know, but many of these are the same people saying that Ryan was bound to be a bust last year as well.

And that can be reversed to say many of the people who want to see Detroit take Stafford, also wanted them to take Harrington, or thought the Chargers made the right move by taking Ryan Leaf, at least on draft day. Soon after anyone who had thought the Chargers made the right pick were no longer admitting it.

At what point does a LB not become a horrible value? #2 overall where the Giants took LT? #3 where the Bears took Dick Butkus? #4 where the Chiefs took Derrick Thomas?

IMO, you can't just discount a position totally, other than kicker or punter, and probably G, FB, and C, and say it is always a horrible value at #1 overall. I just don't see why the Lions would be wrong to take Curry, but the Chiefs would be so smart to take him at #3. Two picks later it goes from horrible to a great pick?

Very nice Mock Con. Great insight and analysis. I like everything but English to us. LOL. And that's the one that's supposed to count. >grinning< I haven't touched up mine in 3 weeks, but I'll put it up here for your to debacle. j/k.

How would you get around the argument that Vive Sanchez :lucky: is the top QB when he has yet to prove he can really play when the game is on the line....or trailing at any point in a game really. I'm not saying that he isn't the top QB, rather I like to pose thought provoking questions for the wiser ones than me to answer. ;) It's no fault of his own that his defense was one of the best of the past decade, but it does wonders for a QB's mentality knowing that you only have to score 8 points to win..... or that your defense will single handedly win the game for you. LOL. I don't have to tell you how much confidence plays on performance.

I saw the absolute reverse happen this year to Cullen Harper!! Uggg!!! The Clemson line last was based off of reserves of reserves, and then I think they dipped into Seneca HS players. hahaha. Not hahaha though when you're a Tiger fan like me. During Senior Bowl, I could still see how the "running for his life during the season" affected his poise in the pocket. Even while he was protected during the game, he kept bailing out rather than stepping up in the pocket like he did all Junior year. I know this is different than having a top Defense, but it's just an example of how the mental aspect can fluctuate and influence performance. No insult to your intelligence here.

The only real game Mark needed to rally and carry his team, he couldn't and lost to the Beavers. He'll be faced with this challenge on a weekly basis in the NFL, especially with a bottom 10 team. Add to that fact that he's going to a team (San Fran) who's QB's were sacked more times than potatoes last year.... not sure how he will handle it. Again, not by Sanchez's fault, but no one will really know how he handles true game pressure until next year. That could be a lot of $ to pay to find out the answer to this question. LOL.
