    Predictions? LOL!

Anytime I think I know what is going to happen I am dead wrong.

I think someone is going to die though.

i'm the same way... I picked Chief b/c he's a cylon... And he messed up last episode... BAD. BSG has a funny way of punishing people who screw up bad as long as your name isn't Baltar.

I'm starting to think that Baltar will be the last one standing at the end.

Where will they go in tonight's episode? Hera's gone and they have to do something about that but the ship can't jump. The ship is falling apart so that is a plotline. Kara's arch is still in the center of everything, they have to explain more about that. Aren't the 5 REALLY curious about the song and how she knew it? Is Anders going to wake up? What about Chief? They wanted to airlock Boomer for being a traitor, what will they do to him when/if they find out he let her out to run amok? Now that Boomer has Hera does John decide it's time to finally destroy the humans? Does Boomer know that that Galactica is pooched? She must have found out something.

I'm getting ahead of myself...they have a few episodes to explain all that...LOL!

I think before Chief bites it he will get a chance to address Tory's murder of Cally.

And THAT is going to be interesting.

A pall of sadness is starting to overtake me as we get closer to the end.

Who else thinks that Adama is going to turn Galactica into a monstrous guided nuclear missile to use against John's cylons?

How he'll get it to them is another story; the ship can't make any jumps.

Maybe he'll bait a trap that John won't be able to resist, and compel him to come to it.

I wonder if Hera is the most dangerous entity that John could have brought smack into the middle of his own domain? And he did it willingly. Willfully.

And Boomer is the wild card; her sudden attachment to Hera could be cemented if she finds out she's carrying Helo's baby...
The Starbuck story arc must be so central to the endgame; just when you think they'll budge on it, they keep circling it.

I thought Baltar was going to buy it at the memorial service; I thought for sure someone would take him out then.

 And, my God...Jamie Bamber has to be one of the most egregiously awful casting choices EVER...but more so for a series as flawlessly cast as this, and in such a key role as his character's.

I like Appolo most of the time but he's not doing his new role as president in waiting very well IMO. I think he should have stuck to being a viper jock.

The constant circling of the Kara arch is wearing me out, I want closure and I want it NOW.

When Anders grabbed Kara's arm when we saw him act as a hybrid for the first time I almost jumped out of my skin....scared the crap outta me...LOL!

I'm thinking that maybe...just MAYBE, Adama will get some sort of redemption from the destruction of the ship if he does what you discussed. You mentioned earlier that he has made a TON of bad choices, this might change all that.
I think it will be his last choice because he's going down with the ship.

I think Boomer gets redeemed as well. She's going to get Hera away from John.

Man...what am I going to watch on TV after this all ends? Nothing can match it for me.

 I know. With this and The Shield finished, it's a pretty grim landscape.

Yeah, Adama has to come to a "Lear" type end. There's just no other way to end it for him; living with the misguided choices he's made along the way would be a cruel way for a warrior to live out his life.

The one really awful choice that is coming back to haunt him now is sacrificing the Pegasus - a brand-new ship - instead of the Galactica in that battle.

I show it in tivo as a one-hour episode.

Here is a very nice writeup in someone's blog; very analytical, relevant despite being dated.

And here's a pretty good interview with Katee Sackhoff by her hometown newspaper. Dated too, but still interesting; I thought being from Oregon she'd be more organic. But she loves LA and the fast pace!

Good episode last Friday, but was anybody else extremely annoyed at the meaningless flashback fillers?

I wouldn't have minded it so much if the flashbacks related directly to the current plotlines. But most of those flashbacks could have been played at any point in the series. It was almost like they couldn't fill the entire hour so decided to paste in some out takes. With two episodes left I was furious the writers thought they could spend half the episode with self-indulgent flashbacks with so many loose storylines to tie up. So much more could have been accomplished in place of the flashbacks. They could have showed the conversation with Anders to show how they found out the location of the Cylon colony instead of leaving it up to our imagination just to name one.

I'll get over it as long as the two hour finale doesn't have anymore filler flashbacks. If it does, I'll be very disappointed.

You are right about the flashbacks. I kept hoping there would be a payoff with them but they meant nothing. Rarely does this series do something that means NOTHING so I expect them to have some meaning, we'll find out in a week.

    One more episode...that just sucks.

One thing I was dissatisfied with was Starbuck's fate; her character deserved better than to just...disappear.

Also that Bill Adama chose to (apparently) live out his remaining days - which could be many - alone on a hilltop, beside a grave, instead of with his son.

Do NOT read until you've seen the episode!

Anyone else catch the special before the final episode? (The Last Frakkin' Special)

Mostly pap, but a couple of brilliant nuggets; I didn't know that Tricia Helfer had never acted before she was hired to play Six!!!

Such a pivotal role, so many permutations and how brilliant she was in every one - and she had no experience!

Just goes to show how good the casting was for this series.

Yeap, it was a good special. I was about to see Tricia at Nvidia's Conference in San Jose last year but blew out my back and couldn't make it. My friend went and said there was a long line to get her autograph and she is so hawt in person. What about the producers asking Lee to speak in an American accent? I didn't know that.

did anyone else start to feel disappointed when you thought the conflict was going to be over by both sides coming to an agreement? I did but was like "oh ****", when whats her name mentioned about forgiveness & such. Then all hell broke lose when "the chief" started to choke her to death.

My biggest disappointment is how they ended Kara like that. I thought she & Lee were going to live happily ever after TBH, but I guess it fits in her being the harbringer of death. With death there is life.

Did anyone else yell hurry up to Kara when plugging in the jump coordinates? I understand she was remembering things but still.

Always thought Adama was going to die with Galactica. Didn't see this ending but always figured Roslin was going to die at the end.

Kinda stupid how the head of the cyclons shot himself. I was WTF you *****!

I kinda laughed at the end about Hera though. Guess it fits in with the story.

I have to admit this isn't what I pictured to how it would end. All in all, I enjoyed the ending but very sad. I'm going to miss the show so much. Guess all great things must come to an end and they ended on top.

Lastly, guess this is how the pyramids was built. hehehe.

I liked the episode overall. It was a fitting ending. A few complaints though -

Most plotlines were wrapped up, but numerous times during the series Kara was referred to as the "angel of death" and that she would lead them all to their deaths. Her disappearing explains the "angel" part, but what about leading them to their deaths? She led them to Earth!

While the flashbacks were few and short, some of them still didn't need to be there. The Kara and Boomer flashbacks tied directly into the ending, but Adama and Rosslyn's flashbacks could have been played in the pilot or any other time during the series.

While it was a "feel good ending" in the fact Galactica and it's crew survived, it was extremely depressing that so many characters felt they needed to separate and never see each other again. I understand Adama needed to be alone to bury Rosslyn (sp?) but why would he choose to live alone? I think this depression was kind of forced just so they could fit the final scene of this being the beginning of our "Earth".

Not sure what I'm going to replace this show with. Terminator: TSCC is the only sci fi show that holds a candle.

I have to say sorry to you but ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ really Terminator is a terrible terrible show. .the whole cast and crew along with the writers all need 'putting down'. . it's pap of the highest order. . and if you push me I will let you know what I really think. .lol. .

I was annoyed at Kara's ending. . although I am thinking she was some kind of supreme being and died when her ship exploded in the earlier series but 'God' sent her back to lead them to new earth? Im unsure. .

Cavill blowing his head off. . no way he was always going to die fighting I cant see why he just did himself. .? this made no sense.

I was sad to see them all go seperate ways. . chief going to live on his own in the highlands of the north (Scotland?)
The old man living alone and never seeing his son again.

So what significance of the six and Baltar. . .?
They were on opposing sides to begin with him human, her cylon, but they both had visions of the other the whole time they were in existance. .why did the other cylons not know 6 was having these visions when they were linked. were these Angels? why did Baltar apologise at the end for using the name 'God' saying, 'im sorry he does not like that name does he'. .
I dont get the Baltar and 6 persons and visions at all now. although I did not have much clue anyway and was hoping for the answers here but dont feel I got them. . unless I just did not understand it. .

battle sequences were great though. .

I agree about TSCC, although I keep hoping it turns around somehow. A series simply cannot that unrelentingly dark and keep an audience's faith.

Yeah, like I said I didn't like Bill Adama's decision; all you've been through and you're going to eschew an opportunity to live alongside your family, see your grandchildren? Not likely.

And Starbuck; I can see how poetic her final fate is, but...man, you grow to love these characters, and you want the best for them. Death isn't among those things you wish for them, that's for sure.

With a hit show like this there is a chance to come out with a movie or series of movies. maybe fill in some blanks and create more blanks for the next movies.

One's for sure is I understand why they keep using "cycle" over and over again.

I would like them to make a movie about the skin job cylons and how they grew up. Give you some story before their memory were erased and sent back into the colonies.

At least I still have Chuck, 24, Castle (good show so far) & dollhouse.

It was advertised right after the final episode.

ok im on season 1 ep10 and I have some questions.....They may seem dumb but o well.
    No major spoilers please!!

I cant tell if the scientist is supposed to be good or bad ...or maybe I'm not supposed to know yet? The cylon girl in his head planted a chip in his brain/head like she said, correct?

Can the human type cylons make cylon copies of humans or not? Perhaps Im not supposed to know that also. All I saw so far were just the 4 dif human types of them I believe. Also Can the cylons just turn into whatever person they want whenever they want?

Are both copies of Sharon cylons? If so, why is she protecting the human soldier guy on they cylon infested planet?

Thanks I just want to get some stuff straight.

Very interesting background on Adama's family; was it known prior to this that his roots were Tauron?
