Was fantastic, but not good with wife I am really stupid and dont understand women at all .

dinner was A+

so i sit down and immediatley realize iam over dressed.....black dress shirt and tan slacks and a jacket.......i immediatley un button my shirt a bit, hang the jacket over the chair and relax, they all smile and we greet.....


i am immediatley told iam the only producer from the station to join them because of how hard i work, and my future is bright (my PD said i was golden on the mic, and will be testing me on air on weekends and fill ins)

so iam thrilled about that.....met two gentlemen for the public relations dept of the carolina panthers.....they heard some demo tapes of mine, and heard i work well behind the scenes, and might bring me in to work some television broadcasts of games....and work in the truck!!!!!!

basically it was said if i keep up my hard work i will be brought into a quote "role with the station that will make you a wealthy man....career and money wise"

wow....so i get home and i was almost in tears....my dream is closer and closer to being realized.....i will keep working hard, and hopefully ill getta show to get my own show one day.....hopefully i bring in the ratings!!

for the record, i didnt drink......and i had the ribeye and ribs.....incredible meal....

i dicked around at first and was scanning through the burgers and my PD says "**** chris your a growing boy....get yourself a steak"

haha...had to take the man up on the offer!


so it went well, im drinking now (at home) because iam thrilled....and i will be having a show tomrrow (weds) night....so if anyone wants to listen and will be in.....show time tomrrow night, ill decide on a time later....

Good call on not drinking at dinner ... you may have been more nervous, but you made the right impression on the people you were with. And it's always better to over dressed than under ... you can always unbutton your shirt one more button ... it's hard to dress up when you have a T-Shirt on.

Regardless ... it showed that you took the thing seriously ... it leaves a good impression.

Always be dressed up when meeting higher-ups. Good rule of thumb.

 

You made the right impression though. They will take you more seriously. As Odin said, you always overdress, and unbutton a button or take a jacket off.
