    everyone always assumes the other species has to be soo far advanced and all...

    but how bout a species thats just a lil bit more advanced than us. how bout one of thier satellites landing here. i mean, it doesnt have to be the whole spaceship with thier people and all scenario...just a probe or something would be the most realistic scenario no?

    and then eventually we can all communicate on ichat:up:

    Sadly, this is probably the truth.


    Assuming 1 our out of every 10 billion stars have planets that can support life, we are literally talking about millions of life supporting planets... But as you stated, it would take millions of light years to reach these planets and I'm not sure if the technology will ever be developed to travel that far.
