I've only had the origonal ps2 die, and it only "died" because it could no longer read discs (after 5+ years of heavy use). It could still turn on and everything.

I have a had a gameboy advance crap out on me before, does that count?

    No. No it does not.

Side note, I got my gameboy color when I was like 10 and it still works.

what about nintendo and having to blow on the cartridge? that was a mass problem. i had a problem with my ps2 it would give me a disc read error alot. i used to just smack the crap out of it and it would work. never had a problem with any of my systems... (goes to turn xbox on and crosses fingers)

Owned a Sega Genesis since 1993, PS1 since 1997, a PS2 since 2002, an X-Box since 2003, a GameCube in 2005 (solely to play Rogue Leader and MGS:TTS), a 360 Elite and 60GB PS3 in 2007. Only the X-Box crapped out and the Gamecube had disc read errors, which rather than send it to Nintendo for repair, just re-sold it. The rest still work to this day with no issues what so ever *knocks on wood*.

Portable-wise, I have a broken GBA which refuses to read any cartridge, a DS which has nothing coming out of the speakers even at high volume, and a PSP-2000. The PSP-2000 is still with me but the DS was sold.
