He's 6'3", 246. He's fine for the OLB spot when it comes to size.

Lol well they may be, considering the sizes of OT's.

Yeah, Charles what's-his-face was really high on him. He mentioned him on NFL.com with Mike Mayock. And yeah, he did look small compared to the lineman! That being said he did look like a fit for the Dolphins...

Charles Turner. Just 13 more minutes to go and the next practice is on NFL Network.

I am interested to hear Boomer and co. on this one, I live in Florida so we didnt get a whole lot of USC games. And the ones that we did I spent more time looking at Rey.

He's my favorite of the three USC backers, good pedigree too. Five years from now he'll be the best pro out of those three and would make me very happy if he was a Dolphin those five yrs and more.

I think he has big upside potential. I have literally seen 2 plays frm the Senior Bowl practices; the first when Shawn Nelson blew Maualuga up and the second when Quan Cosby got lit up by Chip Vaughn. But all the reports suggest that Matthews wasn't fazed by playing 3-4 LB. He looked very fluid in space and can get to the QB around the edge. The one year starter thing is an issue but he certainly has the NFL bloodlines and he improved through the season.

I think one reason why, is because the segment of the practice where they highlighted him, he was pass rushing against 6'6" and 320 lb Michael Oher and is only about 6'3" and 245 himself. I noticed how small Matthews looked too, and the only conclusion I can draw is the contrast to Oher.

As much as he drew attention in the practices, Matthews was equally invisible in the game.

The Dline was that bad, no one could shine, not Matthews or Sintim or whomever, they were making plays in the second level all night.

Did he play after the first quarter? This is a serious question because I haven't gotten to the recorded game yet and I dont' recall him doing much after that first series, in which he did a good job of mirroring the tight end in coverage.

Well it looked disturbing to me. I mean when I 1st saw him I was thinking to myself, "this guy is no more than 5ft 9 or 5ft 10, and they think he is 1st round material ?". Now that I know that Oher is that large the perception is not that bad.

Yeah I couldn't recall them mentioning his name more than once or twice all night. Not good for Matthews.
