It was a deeper slant. RDE had a great jump on that play. My goodness, a terrible punt...world class bad.
It's rough trying to put together a passing game in two weeks. I'm just looking for a guy playing faster then everyone else.
Yeah, he's a nice talent but the level of competition is an issue and he is getting manhandled for the most part by Vollmer. I think he can be a OLB in a 34 but he doesn't always hustle. He came off free on that play BTW.
He also had that encroachment penalty on the 4th down, which extended the drive. Not a bright spot. He's a bright guy though.
There it was again, the one sentence I loathe the most: "He's got the arm strength, he can certainly make all the throws."
God I hate when they do these in SportsCenter highlights. Tired of seeing that garbage on tape lol. Rewind it like five times and you keep seeing it. Its annoying. Nice grab Butler.
Considering that the NFL refs apparently decided not to penalize holds anymore, I'd look for blatant holders as a scout
That's why we are seeing so many draw plays, I'm surprised they haven't run screens or S. of Liberty plays. Deon Butler so far has stood out.
Very nice touch pass by Hoyer by the way. Now that's an NFL throw and you don't even need a rocket arm for it, Todd.
LMFAO. Jarron Gilbert was triple teamed on that rollout pass by Hoyer. Left Michael Bennett completely unblocked with a free shot at the QB and he didn't get Hoyer down. Gilbert, btw, stayed on his feet and fought through the triple team and if Hoyer hadn't rolled right, he'd have had a shot at him. Love this kid. His hand use right off the snap is damn good. EDIT: Ok, technically a double team. The RT and TE. The RG was in the area but didn't engage Gilbert (or anyone, for that matter).
Lol, yeah Gilbert is impressing. Bennett is awful, this whole week. What a ridiculous story told by McShay about Gilbert.
Still not there yet. Trying to catch up. Jarron Gilbert is starting to look a little tired. Hmm...could be his achilles heel.
He said Gilbert squats 635. He came in with the scouts and said "watch this." He put one hand on the ground and simultaneously reached the top of the door with his other hand. You want to talk about a wingspan? Holy crap. I'd love to see him lined up next to Corey Wootton.
doubt we target Gilbert though with us taking Langford and Merling early last year. how late do you see Gilbert going?
The USC linebacker, Maiava, also standing out. Phillips didn't do a good enough job as OLB on that TD run. And Daniel Ellerbe made a great play on kick coverage. Hmm...
