Wow....I am glad for Rampage, and Mir, really liked the first two rounds for Griffen, but Evans was on fire for the 3rd round....super card, and great fights.

Rashaad is clearly the class of the 205 division..but that class is not nearly as good as it was 3 years ago. a lot of guys are "over-ripe".
I think Anderson Silva would probably gut that division too if he wanted it. Looks like Evans and Rampage will go at it now. Waiting for Machida's next fight.

What do you guys think of AA vs Fedor on jan 24th? Roach hasnt wasted any time talking smack, hyping this fight up!!! Im just really hoping that he is saying those things to hype up the fight, and not because he truly believes in what he says.
Hard to imagine him beating Fedor. Standing up, sure, he could have an advantage. Just better hope the fight stays there. Roach is a boxing trainer. And it's not a bad idea IMO for a guy with only a puncher's chance to hire a boxing trainer. Freddie will hype a fight, no question. Hopefully we'll see Fedor in the UFC one day.

Wow. I knew about the Russian sambo tournament part, which speaks to overall exclusivity. But I had no idea it was that insane. That's a lot of fights too. And for the same pay? Are there even 8 good heavyweights in the UFC?
It's pretty ridiculous. I hope he beats AA, Josh Barnett and retires. Im pretty hyped up to watch "Baby Fedor" live for the first time. He is only 20, but with coach like Fedor he can go far. I obviously will be rooting for him, and even if he loses, I hope he will have a good fight to showcase.

He isnt expecting any profit from first few shows...Question is how much money is he willing to lose before backing out.
They make a good point about the economy and pace. While I love that there's a UFC generally every few weeks, it doesn't automatically mean they've got a great card. Tonight's card is pretty weak. No way in hell I'm paying for that. The main event is the only fight I care to watch. So I'll go to a sportsbar, get $25 worth of food/drinks and watch it for 'free'. I'd actually choose next week's Affliction card over this UFC. Or the Margarito-Mosley fight.
yeah weak card! Hendo-Franklin is usually 2nd/3rd billing on a normal night. This was too weak to put on Spike or even bother watching on Justin.tv

Should of went 5 rounds. Its the Main Event. Title or no title it was the main freaking even. There would of been a clear (er) cut winner, and a better fight to watch.

That still looks like he's somewhat out of shape with that gut. I also didn't realize how much taller Arlovsky was. If this goes the distance then Fedor might be in trouble.
The photo is a bit misleading. Look closely at his belly. For whatever reason, it's not as bad as the photo first looks IMO. Again, that's just his build. That's how he always looks. And he won't be tired. Arlovski is gonna have to keep his distance and catch him. That's his only shot. He's in big trouble if they're in close or it goes to the ground.
He weight in 230 for Sylvia fight. He weight in exactly 230 for Arlovski fight. So unless he lost muscle and gained fat, he is the same.
Missed the very beginning of Affliction. First fight I witnessed was Babalu vs Sokoudjou. Sokoudjou took the first round with some good brawling, but looked a bit gassed. Babalu, being the experienced as he is jumped on him in the beginning of 2nd, took him to the ground GnPed him for two minutes, and then forced Theirry to tap. Sokodjou has a lot of potential, if he works on his ground game he will be dangerous. More Updates on the way. [Edit] Tito is ringside. Interviewed Babalu. Babalu called him out, haha told him to get in the ring with him. Tito didint back down and said that if things work out, he might be his next opponent. Out of the intreview with Fedor's manager, Kirill "Baby Fedor" Sidelnikov lost. Not sure how. Will keep on updating. [EDIT] http://www.justin.tv/dmcano1 link Matt Linland got KTFOd in 35 seconds by Vitor Belford. Took him 5 mins to get in his feet and walked away. Baby Fedor was just pikced apart by pauls jab. His mouth piece came out 2nd time and doctor called it. Guy has unhuman chin. Commntator were saying he did most of his damage with his face becuase Pauls hand was hurting in the end, lol ) Barnett won by submission by strike outs. In the beginning of every round Barnett took him down, and BEAT THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF HIM. Yvel got owned by all meanings, but he is a TOUGH guy. Barnett was on top of him the entire fight, swingin, and he didint get KOd. Yvel is tough man.
