The interior of our OL is playing horrible! On that 3rd and long play when we were backed up in their territory in the 2nd., Satele just stood there and did absolutely nothing and let R. Lewis, I believe it was, just come right in untouched. I'm done with him. The Satele experiment should be done with after this year. What a joke and the pass rush..Pssh! I'm not a happy camper now, but I still haven't lost the faith yet. =)

 

he's been accurate all season point? does one game negate that for you?

Losing Smiley & Thomas was a real killer for this line. Getting those guys back and healthy for a full season will do wonders for the continuity of the OLine

 

Definatley need a bigtime WR in the offseason, and some more pass rushers. Terrell Suggs or Bart Scott?

Need to solidify the OL more as well.

 

I just don't want to think about Penny costing us the game after the year he has had but as of right now there is one reason we are losing and that is Penny. Sad but this team is really good at halftime adjustments so lets see what happens. Its clear the Baltimore offense can't really score so its all going to be up to the offense to not let the defense score. To think it would be 6-3 without the pick 6...man that was huge.

Plus Jets fans will be intolerable with their "I told you so" talk.

 

Can't really agree with that.

He's done what his team has asked him to do (avoid costly turnovers and help move the chains) and that 40-yard completion at the end of the half was extremely impressive. It put the Ravens in position to take a two-score lead and is the kind of throw that only a handful of quarterbacks can make.

Your not 'allowed' to get pissed off at this team until maybe 3...4...5...years or whatever down the line because they arent supposed to be here, they were supposed to go 2-14...

 

well I got here a bit late, had to work earlier but I saw the last quarter and Flacco was literally in the backfield fixing a sandwich watching some tv and ordering a beer in the time he had to throw. I'll blame the entire D but theres not much of a point of having the sacks he has all year if he can't pressure a rookie Qb in a playoff game.

 

Let's not use the other games we've seen this season as a guide, let's just go on blind homerism.

Whether I give up or not has no bearing on the outcome of the game. If we win, I'll be ecstatic, but at this point I'll also be shocked. We're playing to lose.

 

It should have been the RG actually not Satele. Satele was manned up, but the guard should have chipped Lewis and went to his assignment. He just let Ray walk by.

 

Okay people - relax. I'm THRILLED to just be in the playoffs, win or lose. We can still hold our heads up high. No arguing with each other in this thread please.

 

It's not fair to discount Reed INT, and take those points away. If McClain does not put it on the ground we're up by alot more.

If you give up it means that you have no heart whatsoever and you should probably find another team to root for in that case. You have no faith in your own team when they have done so much for you this season.

They DESERVE some faith in them right now. Even if it's only for 30 more minutes this season.

 

Throwing personnel aside, they're still a 2-dimensional offense right now. We're not. We can't run the ball. And that is asking for big trouble against that defense.

It was actually funny in a sick way. The guard turned and looked at Ray as he went straight passed him with that 'Crap' look on his face.

 

What about if Philip "Marmalarde" Rivers threw it?

 

it does show that we needed that td on the fumble recovery drive to get momentum. But a score early in the 2nd half, followed up with hopefully some adjustments on D, and we can get back in it. They have to figure out how to get pressure on Flacco though. He showed he wasn't hitting targets when rushed, and maybe we can get a TO or 2 off him if we can get that rush going...

 

the Fins are still in this; hope they come back in the second half and arise victorious!

Halftime Notes
-Pennington had an absolutely atrocious first half. He will need to settle down and get back to playing mistake free football in order for the Dolphins to have a chance
-Miami’s running game is not working very well but they need to stick with it. They have had some decent runs here and there.
-Miami is stopping Ravens running game and is keeping Flacco in check. The difference in the score has once again been a huge turnover for a score.
-Miami will need turnovers to get back into this game
-Blitz is working well for Dolphins. They should do it more to try and rattle Flacco and force some turnovers.

their defense is bullying us right now....we gotta get fired up amd punch them in the mouth....and get big yards and get a touchdown....


btw this game is almost exactly like 2001....we scored first....then get blown out
