I agree with ya, because our turnaround should be the talk of the NFL, yet we are barely a side-mention, almost like the announcers are embarassed to mention us. The NFL considers us a pariah and would rather that the Miami Dolphins franchise never be heard of again. I guarantee we get the worst time for a playoff game.....no primetime for us.

You've still got that 1-15 mentality.

The Dolphins have been doing it quietly all year. I don't need the media to hype us up now. None of them predicted any of what the Dolphins have achieved, I'm actually kind of happy no one in the media is patting themselves on the back over how well the Dolphins have done this year.

Yup. I don't care what the talking heads say about us. Who cares what Merill Hodge or Chris Berman thinks? As long as the highlight packages include a bunch of Miami stuff, I'm happy.

Just FYI Merril Hodge usually gives Miami praises and seems to pull for them also.

Also who wants to bet that all the Power Rankings this week rank NE ahead of Miami. One thing that went by the wayside today is that had Miami not have decided to kneel on that last drive and tried to get at TD (I guarantee you Belichick would have) the game would have been 45-31 and a lot more praise would come Miami's way.

I know that the networks can protect certain games from being flexed by the nfl and I'm not sure if the info is correct but I was informed that CBS protected the New York/Miami game.

CBS and FOX can't protect any games in the final week of the season.

Let's also not forget the first game between these two teams. Many rate the Chargers@Broncos game in week 2 as a top 3 game of the season. And then of course you have all the emotion because of the Hochuli call. This is a very good game to have on national TV. It should be a close one and one of the better 7-8 vs 8-7 battles.

Sorry His'n but I totally disagree here.

They are a team with the World of pressure on them.

They started with expectations of Superbowl Glory on them the moment Brett Favre came in and throughout the season have struggled and the collapse is almost complete. (struggled because they really havent done anything other than beat the Titans as alot of games came down to the wire, now you can say that about us but honestly, its us...not the Brett Favre destined Champion Jets)

They have ALL the pressure of next weeks game on them to actually do something with their season and not waste a season of Favre (since he's only got one or two left) and draft picks.

Us? We were supposed to be like 4-12. This season by many is already reached a point where we are all happy with it.

A win would be great but I dont see our boys over pressured by anything.

    Now the Jets...heh

His'n I don't think you understand what I am saying. I am upset that they Fins don't get their just dues on the national stage, and I think it hurts our chances to not only get this game next week, but it will also hurt our chances of SNF or MNF games next year. I will bet we don't have any again next year. The NFL wants us as invisible as we can be.

Bro I disagree with you. They look at what we did this year for prime time games next year. I say we have 2-3 prime time games next year at least.:wink2: They will want to be part of the turn around.

I hope you are right, but judging from the treatment we get on Football Night in America, the ESPN Countdown, NFL Network itself....it seems as though its a concerted effort to downplay the Dolphins success.

I agree with your points, but my point is simply that all that pressure could go away in a 4:00 or Sunday night game if the Jets are eliminated from playoff contention with earlier Patriot and Raven wins.

But the pressure is now on Miami fully. I worry a little about that. Its ours to lose and I am praying & hoping we don't do another "Arizona" in this game.

The JESTs lost... Of course they didn't flex our game. It lost the spice when Seattle hammered the Jets....

I'm not concerned about the pressure on the Dolphins. I don't want to be embarrassed in the playoffs by a team that can't handle pressure. They get a chance to prove they can handle it on Sunday.

The Jets-Dolphins game has been moved to 4:15, as well as the Cowboy-Eagle game and the Raven-Jaguar game.

So the Jets won't know at kickoff whether they've been eliminated or not since a Raven loss and a Jet win will give the Jets a wildcard spot. And a Patriot loss earlier in the day could still mean the winner takes the AFC East.

NFL made a great choice. It's the Hochuli Bowl in San Diego... Chargers can't complain anymore that Ed Hochuli cost them playoff chances because they control their destiny. Winner makes playoffs... Should be a Great game and im upset that i may miss it but im glad ill be in NY watching Miami play for playoff hopes!

    1. Are you serious? Do you really think the NFL doesn't like the Dolphins?

    2. Why does the NFL want us to be "invisible"?

    3. Why do you want the media to give Miami any "just dues"? Why on earth would you want ESPN to be infatuated with the Dolphins like they are with the Cowboys and Steelers. Seems like that kind of attention can only result in negativity.

I like the fact that no one talks about how great we are. Just show me the highlights. I don't care whether Steve Young thinks we're going to the playoffs.

That will change if the Patsies miss the playoffs......believe me

If I were in charge of those shows I too wouldn't pay much attention to the Dolphins. The whole NFL has been obsessed with Brett Favre's Jets and the Brady-less Pats all year in our division to even notice us. Favre's day is done, and hopefully next week we'll nail the lid shut on the Pats....if that happens we get all the respect in the world.

God I hope you're right. I can't imagine what the networks will do if they win. They will be forced to say nice things about them.

I think the NFL wants us to be invisible because we have no stars on the team. They shudder at the networks over Miami, because they believe TV's turnoff when the Dolphins appear on the screen.

I don't want them to be the Cowboys, but more like Pittsburgh or San Diego, who get all the kudos for being a good team, and publicity but yet are not full of drama either.

And one of the problems I have is that many times, most of our highlight packages are small and half as long as say those they show of the Patriots or Dallas.
