Why would you want a lighter NT?

I don't know what Cody was doing on that 4th and goal TD. It goes back to the fact that I'll have to see more of him when he's healthy. The play was to the outside- he just looks a little lackadaisical to me.

Because we're about more than space eaters. What Marks, Jerry and McCoy do and to an extent BJ Raji and the kid at Clemson do well is not just rely on brute force but can be mobile down the line, can make plays with their feet and not just their base.

Pat White, George Selvie and Tyrone McKenzie tonight. Looking forward to that.

Jerry has good lateral quickness IMO. It was on display in that LSU/Ole Miss game.

I would hope that he's heavier indeed. I wonder if the Soilia headlight will ever go on- and I still think that we should go BPA within reason rather than force a 1st rd pick at LB or NT.

Hmmm....he's doubled by the OC and the RG, he's having his jersey tugged by what looks like the RG and he has Rolando McClain and the guy that's engaged with him in front of him as he turns.

On the replay I thought he got a little bit of mask but then the hand went down to the shoulder for the tackle.

Pat White's such a good player. Closing in on 10,000 yards from scrimmage as a collegian. That's huge.

He has very, very good initial quickness and hands. It makes him an elite DT when you look at this draft.

Definitely. I'm interested in which positional drills he gets at the combine. I know he's going to be looked at as a WR but there's some talk that the scouts want to see him at QB a bit more. The problem I have with him is that he looks to run so often.

Selvie struggled a bit when he went up against Beatty last week. Beatty is a guy I'd look at as a RT.

If that happened then I missed that. It goes back to the same thing- you've seen much more of him than I have and my opinion is of limited value at best.

What if that best player is Knowshon Moreno? Or a QB?

If they go LB or NT, trust me it won't be forced.

Tape/record it and then watch it. That's what I do. Then you get a real look at him and get your thoughts on him on paper.

What goes in Pat's favour is that he's made pretty significant steps year on year at QB. Hopefully he'll get to workout as a QB first.

Please win Alabama. I can't stand the Gators. I don't like Nick Saban, but I can't stand the Gators.

And I don't like FSU or UM. I just can't stand how everyone is on their nuts in J-ville. Not to mention, they get every freakin break known to man.

I thought it was incidental and slipped off as soon as his hand got on it, didnt think he used it to turn his head. I would have to watch the replay again though.

Every time I see a Bama game number 8 just jumps out at me. Just how good is that kid for being a freshman?

That's good to see- if it's accurate- you know these college teams- basketball- the Michael Beasley height listing was a joke. But Jerry looks heavier than 290 to me, so it's good to see. Jerry is just a big, strong, quick, active dude on the LOS.

While true, this goes back to what we discussed about Tebow. Its mighty difficult to change a QB from run first. I think Pat can make throws but the problem is that he settles for his feet too quickly.

2 more first downs and Florida wins this.

And that was a pretty throw. Alabama needs to hold them to a FG.

I wish Louis Murphy could do that more consistently.

I'm from down here but I'm not really a Gators fan. That being said, I want UF to win- a Saban thing.

Absolutely. But the critical difference is that White is elusive whereas Tebow takes a lickin'.

Very true. Still doesn't change the fact that he runs first.

See Jim on that 2nd down play; Cody eats up the double and stuffs Jeff Demps.

There's Florida in the Title game. And Tebow might just win the Heisman again on tonight.

And that throw goes back to what I was saying earlier. He looks very good at times and then he looks sloppy at other times.
