By Roger's reactions, and the comments about the lie detector test it makes you wonder.

He looked very uncomfortable when answering some of the questions.I feel this will be a case that we'll never really know the truth. The only way will truely know if he did them is if it comes from his mouth, and if he didn't do it,to have his name drugged in the mudd will be a sad ending to a 25 year HOF career.

i want to beleve roger but why would his trainer lie? if they ever found out he lied he would go to prison. What did Clemens have to benefit from lying? it makes no sense. Im also hearing that Andy Pettitte is going to testify against clemens makes me believe clemens is guilty even more

Fox Five news, they had McNamee said that Andy Pettite was the key witness for them.

I really hope that Clemens didn't ruin his name and what seem likely to be pre-steroid accomplishment by roiding it up in the mid-90s and beyond. The guys I watched with great joy as a kid were Marino and Clemens.

With that said, he's got a tough road ahead if he is really intent on clearing his name.

I have zero doubt that he's guilty. All those fans who were calling for the head of Bonds need to be consistent and do the same here.

I dont even have zero doubt that bonds is guilty, and if either are guilty I hope they are found out and never allowed to enter the hof.

This is getting silly. Baseball needs to do itself a huge favor and grant a general pardon for any drug related infraction up to this point. Lets face it, there is apparently a LARGE number of players, both famous and not, who took this stuff. But it wasnt one particular group, both pitchers and hitters both seemed to be juiced. In a way, to me at least, it evens out.
Only thing that can come of it all now is bad news. Bud Selig needs to draft a harsh and stringent plan, announce its inception, and just say that nothing up till now happened, but from this point on, anyone caught using will be banned for life.

I think there is reason to go back and look at what everybody took and what impact it may have had, if for no other reason than to figure out how bad this stuff is. Honestly, if there are only acceptable risks to some of this new stuff, why shouldn't it be allowed? Integrity of the game? That's a laugher. They also need to look back in the past to the extent they can, too.

On the other side of the coin, if this stuff is bad, they need to figure out how to test for it and also what to do with the people who have been taking it in terms of their health.

I didn't watch it, I could careless about the guy. In my eyes he cheated as did a ton of other players.

He can never win that case. McNamee had to give his testomony under oath, they made him tell his story, he didn't just come out and say, hey, I'm going to screw Roger. And the fact that Andy P came out and said yes, McNamee gave it to me after my injury even gives McNamee more credit.

I also believe McNamee said he was going to sue Clemens also.

I am just reporting a story here......

I dont know what to make of all this he said - he said stuff, how can McNamee prove he did inject Clemens (and avoiding prison works both ways) or how can Clemens prove the reverse?

Thats the rub right there, no one can prove this for either side really. (Only way Clemens can prove it is to get McNamee to retract his statement).

And the fact that Pettitte or others came out and said that what McNamee stated about them is accurate still doesnt PROVE that what he said about Clemens is true.

I am not choosing sides, just stating that avoiding PRISON is the motivation here so it all depends on that perspective. Did he avoid PRISON by giving them the Biggest Fish, or did he avoid PRISON by stating the truth and naming everyone he did this too?

Oh he's guilty. McNamee has nothing to lose, and is being as straightforward as possible. He's a doctor, master's degree, yeah you think he didn't know what he shot up Clemens' butt?

Roger is on his way to Bonds route. If he lies under oath, and the court has found evidence of him using steroids, he will be in much deeper **** than admitting to steroid use would have gotten him.

No doubt, which is why this move by Clemens potentially brings equal credibility to his side as much as McNamee in theory. Knowing the risk, if he is guilty why open yourself up to a lot more legal issues by filing (granted it can be withdrawn) such a suit unless you know you havent used roids or HGH??????

If you lie under oath and they catch you, that's perjury. Perjury here in the Commonwealth of Virginia is a felony. I think it's a class 5 felony, which would make it punishable by up to a $2500 fine and up to 10 years in prison. Perjury also disqualifies you from holding public office if I remember right.

You don't have to lie in a courtroom, either. If you make a sworn statement such as swearing out a warrant on somebody or testifying in a deposition like Bill Clinton did when he got himself into trouble, that can be the basis for perjury. Don't forget the various false statement, false report, and obstruction of justice charges that also exist. The best policy is always to tell the absolute truth.

Roger's nose is growing longer every day. Sorry, you can just tell by his body language and what he says that he is lying. When they ask him about the Hall of Fame or other stuff he begins to explode or go off on someone. He is being too careful not to say the wrong thing because he knows he used HGH. The truth will all come out.

There goes your bust in Cooperstown Roger.

Hopefully Goose Gossage will make the Hall of Fame today. :ffic:

No doubt JT. That was as coached as it gets. He never would have recorded it if he wasn't coached by his attorney.
