Dear friends, some of you may have noted that I have been off the site since early 11/11. Around 8 that morning while walking the dog, I tripped over an uneven sidewalk and fell face first onto a blacktopped alley. The results were radial head fractures to both elbows, a mild concussion, and a lot of hand and facial cuts and contusions. Obviously having two broken elbows made typing difficult! The right one only being cracked has responded fairly quickly but I didn't get out of the sling on my left elbow until yesterday and it still hurts to work a keyboard. I will be around lurking but my posts may be intermittant for a while. Best wishes to all, Keith
Jayzus! Welcome back, I hope you're recovering well enough, what a mess. Amazing how such a normal activity can result in such an injury.
yow - best of luck for an ongoing recovery! Hope you don't hurt yourself too badly with all of the touchdown signals you're going to have to throw up on Sunday for the Phins.
Sorry to hear about your injury and hope you can keep the rubber side down in the future. I will pray for a speedy recovery and no lasting damage.
Sure have missed you. Get well soon. Do as your Dr. says and you'll be up and around soon. Love, Debby
Thanks everyone. I did this all to myself on dry pavement, imagine what my winter with the ice and snow may look like!
That sucks bro I hate uneven floors/Sidewalks/walkways/ECT always ends in disaster. I wish you a speedy recovery.
hope you feel better. want me to hire a contractor to uh.. take care of that issue with the alley you've been having?
I am back working though running my poor wife ragged because she has to drive for me. My typing is slowly coming back though you will note my missives have gotten shorter. It just aches all the time especially in the cold, damp weather we are having up here right now. Thanks for all the prayers and concern!
Very good to hear of the progress Keith, wish the pain didnt have to come with that. When those arms are back to being closer to normal, give your wife a HUGE hug as I as I know this must be tough on her, although I am just as sure she doesnt mind and would do it for eternity if needed. God Bless you and get better. We need our Resident Chaplain
I wish I were close enough to help, I would love to. You take care and know we all love you here and hope for a speedy recovery.
Its tough enough having my wife help me in some of the ways I needed. For another person, especially a lovely lady like yourself............. Best we not go there! Seriously, thank you my friend! Thanks to all of you.
I know how you feel. I had to help my sister ALOT when she lost her leg. But, when you love some one, it doesn't matter, so, I'm sure your wife is fine with it. I was happy to be able to help my sister, and I'm sure your wife feels the same. You take care and have a blessed Thanksgiving!
Thanks, you guys too. Thank you for letting me be playful. I had to clean my mother off in the shower when she was in her last days from the cancer. We do what we need to do with folks we love. I was just thinking of what my dear wife had to touch and you being a lovely lady, and well... like I said thank you for letting me be playful with you! Lots of my parishoners, now that I am feeling better, are ribbing both of us pretty good in this same vein. Its nice to have some giddiness in the midst of so much sorry in the world.
Thank you, I am back to full speed, not that full speed is all that much, but................ Cold stormy days like today still make the elbow ache but I have about as much use as I ever did and am doing well. Again, thanks for the concern! It is appreciated.
I'm so glad you're better. I know at 60 my "full speed" is slower too. LOL You take care of yourself my friend. You are always in my prayers and thoughts. God bless you!
Pastor Keith its good to see you are back. I wish I had caught this thread earlier, but I often don't have time to catch all the threads here I should.
Not to worry, I sometimes stumble across threads in forums I rarely check. Appreciate your good wishes!
