Please be careful with purchasing gift cards this year. Businesses are going under, and they aren't just the small ones. Perhaps this year, actually buy the product or give cash or check. If you give them a gift card and the company goes out of business, you just lost your money.
Definately not Circuit City or Linens N Things off the top of my head. Another goodie is for a gas card, always good to have. Restaurants are another solid idea. Though with both of these, make sure the reciever has easy access to the gas station/restaurant on the card!
