For those wondering who he is Harris was the key player the Nets traded for Jason Kidd. In the last three games he has done this: 33.7 points and 6.7 assists per game.

In between this he missed three games - all losses for the Nets - and since he return to the lineup the other night they have had back to back 100 point games.

This kid seems to have it all and is only 25 and seems so far to have every tool you want in a stud point guard and now I understand why some Mav fans were not happy about trading him, and IMO this is going to be a trade the Mavs will regret for sometime hereafter.

Really liked him coming out of Wisconsin. He's a very good PG and I thought the trade was a stupid one on the Mavericks part. He can shoot, he can drive, he can dish the ball, he can do it all.

He reminds me of another former Nets PG from the '80's in the style of play he brings in Micheal Ray Richardson, an absolute great basketball talent whose career was shortened from cocaine.

The guy should have been a HOF'er and instead shot his career away at the age of 30. Look at his 1984-85 season, a year before he got his lifetime ban from the NBA:

Micheal Ray Richardson Statistics - Basketball-Reference.com

20.1 pts, 8.2 ast, 5.6 rb, 3.0 stl and played in all 82 games. And the best part of his game was his defense with him being 6'5 and long arms best suited for a player who was 6'9. One of the saddest NBA stories ever.

Harris reminds me a lot of Micheal Ray - minus the drugs of course.

When that trade went down I said that was one of the worst trades I have seen in awhile and was very happy as a Nets fan. AND the Nets took 2 of Dallas picks... That being said I really thing that Harris is gonna be one of the top pg's each league, due to his speed, raw talent, and the way he plays defense. When he runs the break you can tell he is the fastest guy on the court. When he is out you can see how incomplete the offense is, and he makes the Nets an average team. They are terrible, but he will be a shining point on the season and hopefully for years to come. I can see him dishing it to Lebron in 2010:up:
