I'll out drink you any day. I eat 4 year olds for dinner. And wash them down with a tall mug of whiskey.

    :pity:

I have a real problem with that. I just can't take anything I'm eating or drinking into a public restroom, do you have any idea what's floating around in the air? Microscopic **** and piss bro, bad enough we end up coated with it, but you want to ingest it too?
Try calling the Feds. They'll take it from there.

Not the same as my wife makes.

There are many varieties of gyoza, so you can make it how you want. Here are some other example recipes:

Gyoza Recipe - Japanese Potstickers Recipe

Gyoza recipe - Japanese gyoza dumpling - Japanese recipe

In my house the recipe is simpler and we usually make about 100 or so as it's our main meal. Below are the directions my wife sent me once upon a time:

    Gyoza

    1. Chop cabbage and Nira (garlic chive)
    - Pour salt on the chopped cabbage, and rub the cabbage using your hands to soften up the cabbage
    2. Add ground pork and nira. Mix them well --until pork gets a little sticky
    3. On gyoza wrap, put a little bit of water around the edge of wrap, then
place stuffing on wrap and fold them)
    4. Heat the skillet, pour oil, then place gyoza and pour water (You can pour
about 1 cup of water in skillet)
    5. Cover, and simmer
    6. Check on the skillet often, then when most of water is gone, open lid and
cook a little longer until all the moist goes away and get little crispy)

Basically you can eliminate a lot of you ingredients above. We simply use cabbage, nira, and pork.

Cabbage does not need to be boiled --fresh is fine
Green onion is okay, but Nira is better (if you can find it--Nira = garlic chives type vegetable that looks like a green onion, but isn't)
    What Nira looks like:

Quick tip: to make the bottoms a little crunchier, you can dip the bottoms of the wrapped gyoza in a little flour before putting them in the pan. Just the bottoms.

For the sauce, we use a rice vinegar (not the usual apple vinegar most folks get), soy sauce, a drop or two of sesame oil, and either a Japanese 7-spice pepper or some pepper oil (you can find it in any Asian store if you ask). Mix those to your personal taste.

    Hope this helps.

One item of note. If you make too many gyoza (i.e. can't eat all the ones you make), SAVE the leftovers.

The next day, take those leftover cooked gyoza and deep fry them to make age-gyoza.

For those who have been to Korea, it approximates Yaki-mandu.

Use the same sauce or just toss a little salt on them.

    Spunk? TUF?

OK, whatever. Fresh sushi at a proper restaurant isn't bad. Just need to watch out for that wasabi.

I'm not a big fish eater myself, but I can do a nice onion salmon sushi. The onion does the trick.

    Seaweed is not my friend.

I think you mean, three more til the national championship game for Florida right?

56-6 against the Ol' Ball Coach. The Citadel and Florida State go down next and then, the Gators hand Saban and the Crimson Tide their ASSES in the SEC championship game. :hi5:

And I am rooting for Oregon State. USC can't play in the national champioship game if they don't win their conference.
