You can't stop their QB (Harrell) or the best WR in college (Crabtree). They will kill Alabama and Saban.

They won't get a chance to hopefully.

Texas Tech vs Florida sounds like a great game to me.

    Eh, we'll see.

Man, I know it's an almost impossibility, but I want to see Crabtree in a Dolphins uniform. He's got size, hands, and route-running. He works hard, plus he actually throws his body around in blocking. Few WR's put out the same effort blocking every game like he does and it makes an impact. I know his offense inflates his value but he looks like the kind of prospect that transcends that. He may be young but he seems like the kind of WR who can pick up a pro level system very quickly and well.

crabtree is so good that if you watch him closely he does'nt even watch the ball into his hands...hes that good, hes already thinking about the move after the catch, hes the only player ive ever seen do this.

Usually that's a no-no and a sure drop but he makes it happen. I imagine he won't be doing that much in the pros. He's a man among boys out there right now.

Its fun to watch offensive football but they dont play defense in that conference .The SEC is a better conference IMO although there is a wider gap between the top two teams and the rest of the conference this year.

I would love to see a Florida vs TT natl championship game .It would be very entertaining with all of the weapons both teams have .

I dunno about #1 pick or Calvin Johnson yet but he's certainly one of the better WR prospects in years. Speed may drop him a bit but no doubt in my mind that whatever team drafts him and gives him ample coaching/opportunities will have hit the jackpot here.

Your saying this kid is better than CJ?

He is a man in a VERY watered down division defensively...

Dont get me wrong, if he happened to still be on the board when we draft, then sure..and he probably won't last through the top 15....but I think he still has MUCH to prove before crowning him either the #1 overall or better than Cal Johnson....

    Merely a joke, bro.

As of now, not yet. I know he's in a watered down division but I just don't peg him as a product of that division or system. The things he does are what people look for regardless of division or system. It's really hard to judge right now but my gut says he can succeed anywhere. The tools and mindset are certainly there.

All good.... missed your snicker at the very end.

Dont get me wrong, he does look to be a superior Athlete, however, I think he still has quite a bit to prove to be considered the elite athlete at this point.

iam projecting when i say hes better then calvin. if you put calvin in this offense he would be just as good, i just think crabtree is slightly more explosive after the catch...hes just a sophmore

very watered down?....compared to what other conference, I think having the best qb and receiver in the country waters down a lot of other teams, their complimentary players are excellent as well,

Noone has any way of telling what a watered down division looks like until you match up two opponents from each and settle it on the field

Oh really? Then why are 4 of the teams averaging basketball scores?

The division is as strong as it has been in sometime, but the defense reminds me MUCH of the Pac-10..that is the defense is so bad its offensive.

Relax and watch the rest of the season. I am glad you are very high on Tech and the two players you have outlined, but the season isnt over..not by a long shot.

well, if one of those highpowered offenses can beat one of your conference teams that isnt watered down as you say, then that would prove that they are just exceptional offenses, not just offenses that play in a watered down conference...hope that make sense.

I like Crabtree and I think he's going to be a good pro. However, I do question his top speed. He's not really slow, he's in the 4.5 range but I find him to be more quick than fast. I'd like to see him improve his route running and I think that he'll take a year or so to develop. I think he's only been playing Wide Receiver for a couple years now but I could be wrong. He isn't asked to run many difficult routes at Texas Tech. I've seen the seam, go route and a couple others really and that's it. I'd like to see how he operates out of a spread offense. I want to see him in an pro NFL offense. I don't think he's a product of the system because I think he has a lot of talent but like I said, I want to see him in an NFL offense. I think that he displays great concentration though and I think he has very strong hands, similar to Anquan Boldin I would say. I think he can go early in the draft or up to the late teens.

It's not written in stone yet....Alabama isn't exactly going to have a walk in the park against a hot UF team and they struggled against LSU. We blew them out.

Texas Tech is going to have their work cut out for them as well. OK & the Big 12 Championship game aren't gimmes.
