OK I'm not the most frequent of posters so still haven't got my head round all the tools and sh*t (or the technical jargon! ) but if I want to insert image to a post how exactly do I go about it? where do I get a URL from a picture I already have on my pc? Have been looking for about half an hour (good job I'm at work and not losing valuable family time!)
gotta upload it somewhere like photobucket then click the image url and on your post you'll see a little mountain (it's between a quote block and a world) click that and paste the url in.
Either use the Mountain Icon(yellow) or insert link between EDIT: if you use the Moutain Icon make sure to erase the http:// when the box opesn up. if not the link will have http://httpwwwphotobucket.... which causes the red x
Yup, when you post just hit this icon and copy and paste your URL into that box. It's as simple as that.
For forums like this one, you can click the box at Photobucket, "IMG Code - Forums & Bulletin Boards" and it will copy the correct link for you. Then, all you have to do is paste in the URL exactly as you received -- nothing needs to be added.
Especially for numnuts like me! I was sure you had posted an answer (or similar tutorial) to this some time ago gish and was looking all over but just couldn't find anything. Here, I got the pic from photobucket though. AH OK, thats the pic I wanted to post in the Derek Hagan thread! Thanks to all of you for helping, really appreciate it!
