1. They are turning the clock back one hour so the Bronco's players will be tired and confused. 2. Cutler....don't buy the hype. The papers here in Colorado have been calling him Elway's heir apparent for years and he is really just a re-hashed Jake Plummer. 3. Even AI and Carmelo Anthony of the Denver No-Guts are ashamed of the defense played by the Broncos. 4. No Chump Bailey.....how they gonna stop Ginn? They aren't. 5. We own the Donkeys.....they are one team we beat.
IMO, the reason why we will win is simple. We are a physical team coming off a big win facing a finesse team with a bad defense and missing Champ Bailey. I think we punch them in the nose tomorrow and they cannot really hit back, it's in Mile High though and that is a tough place to try and play on the road.
I strongly disagree with your opinion of Cutler. That guy makes plays. With a receiver like Brandon Marshall against our secondary, i have some concerns. The Bronco's D... isnt that great, i agree there. But it all depends on what offense of ours shows up. If we can run agianst them like we did against the pats, and pass against them like we did against the bills. It's goodnight Denver... No Bailey? How do they stop Ginn? Well, nobody other than the Bills last week has been able to stop Ginn.. so... I woudlnt be so cocky. Id LOVE to see ginn have another huge game though, it'd be pretty incredible! Youre right, we usually do find ways to beat Denver. Cant wait till sunday!! If we play like were capable of playing, its going to be a close game, that we win. If we come out flat, and if we cant stop their passing game, theyve got us. Also, im concerned, that Denver got whopped by the pats in their last game, and theyve had a bye week to recover, and practice, and prepare for us... Theyre going to be hellbent on proving they arent as bad as they looked against the pats
If Denver had a weak passing game I could pick the Fins but I just don't see how Cutler and his receivers just won't carve the Fins secondary into pieces. This is like the Arizona game all over again and I am honestly expecting a bad loss but if a win does happen I'll be elated. Personally, I see the Fins winning the next two after this game to get to 5-5 and then a big re-match against New England but the Broncos game I think will be bad. They have their maximum strengths against the Fins maximum weaknesses. I hate to be the gloomy Guss but that is what I see happening but I hope I'm wrong.
IIRC, that's what I heard someone say about the Cards several weeks ago...This Bronco's team is dangerous and we aren't good enough yet to bounce back especially if we get behind any... That said, it should be quite an offensive game and hopefully they'll have some plays for Ginn again...even tho the smart thing would be to pound it out on the ground and get R&R going...
Spoken like a true homer Roman . Cutler is good but if you pressure him throughout the game he is likely to force throws and throw interceptions. The problem is that we dont have DBs with good hands to take advantage of that. Our running game needs to dominate this game to keep the ball away from their offense .
Sorry for being a homer. You have to understand that I live in Colorado and you get sick of the around the clock Broncos coverage. The three main TV stations actually start the Sunday news off with the Broncos. Every year they think they are going to the SB and when they lose, they all cry and whine and make excuses. If we get pressure on Cutler I think we win it....if not, it could be a long day.
I hope we win...and I think with the right offensive gameplan we CAN win. We need to run the ball consistently, keep pounding it at them. We DO NOT need to be tricky right off...just run a vanilla, run-first offense until we get them tired out and the passing lanes open up. I worry that Henning may not be smart enough to run that sort of offense, but I hope he proves me wrong.
Jay Cutler is a fantastic quarterback and will only get better IMO. I know the Dolphins will be prepared for him.
Well..........It worked for us LAST week, so I will try it again. We have no chance to win this game because the Broncos have a big home field advantage. Their QB is young and has a very good arm. He is not consistent, but, they are due for a good game. We DID have a good game last week, even though our running game has not shown up in the last couple of games and this will have to change for us to have a chance. Denver 27 Miami 23
I called it. I just saw how easily New England beat Denver and I just think the Broncos are overrated. They also playing in a very weak division. The Broncos would be 2-6 if they played in the AFC East.
AND , Conversely, if we were in the AFC-WEST, we would be atop the division with wins over the only 2 teams with any legit shot at winning the divsion.
Ok, Roman...good reasons... 1. The clock had nothing to do with them getting tired, it was really because our D let them move up and down the field as they pleased, albeit sans scoring a lot... 2. He may not be Elway, but he played the position better than anyone we've had playing QB since we lost our iconic QB...and a little pressure was all he needed to be forced into mistakes, like any QB including Marino and Elway. 3) The defense played well enough until later in the game when Penny and co. put on that 4th qtr drive and drove any hopes they may have had out of their minds...we still couldn't run on them...even then. 4. Ginn went back into hibernation again. But does Camarillo count for your example ?? 5. Gotta agree there...we seem to own them like the rest of the AFCE has owned us mostly for the last 7 yrs...
Yeremiah Bell dropped that INT that hit him right in the hands....he would have easily run it back for a TD. We gotta work a little more on this.....but we did get a couple other nice INTs early in the first including one that got run back for a TD. The papers here in Colorado say Cutler still has to mature and learn not to try and force passes. Cutler ran his mouth a few weeks ago and said he had a stronger arm than Elway (Sorry Jay but you don't). The nice thing about teams like Denver and Jacksonville losing is it helps the Fins if we don't win the AFC East, we may still get a Wild Card. I don't think 9-7 will do it, but 10-6 should, so we have to go 6-2 the rest of the way. Our remaining schedule looks really good.
Roman 6 - 2 is possible but not probable imo. if we get the two losses they come against the bills and the patriots. one of our six you have predicted comes against the jets. just what i'm thinking if we go 6-2.
