Yes John likes a lot of different music. Hootie & The Blowfish lead man Darius Rucker has come out with a country CD. I have always been a huge fan of his already. The CD has some awesome stuff on it. Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, and Allison Krauss make guest appearances on the CD. I think you hear Hootie in the music, just add some slide guitar, piano, and you are there. You can give it a preview listen at Amazon for yourself, and enjoy his first video, both which I am posting here. I have listened to it about four times so far. I give it a 4 3/4 stars. I really like that song!! I've heard it before, and liked it then. I,like you, liked Hootie and the Blowfish, and this is just over the top. I'm gonna have to buy that CD, I didn't realize all the good singers on it, as I'm not real fond of new country music singers, most of the time, Taylor Swift, Kelly Pickler, they just drive me nuts!! Darius really rocked this song! I can't wait to hear the whole CD.
I always loved Hootie. Have all their cd's. I've seen the vid of Darius, he is great. His voice is so good. I like to hear him sing anything. I like this song, even tho' there's few country songs or singers that I like.
Sorry, that's just the way Darius sings. He can make any song heart rendering, or, the prettiest love song you'll ever hear. It's just THAT voice of his.
I've heard his voice. I used to have the greatest hits CD of theirs but I don't know what happened to it. This song is exactly what I feel about all my exes. If you combine this song and (I can't think about it now but The Beatles have a song.. I think John Lennon wrote it.. about the people that come in and out of his life).. holy freakin' cow. edit: I think the beatles song I'm thinking of is "In My Life".
ive heard that song quite a bit as my girlfriend listens to country, i heard his name darius rucker as the artist too, and it didnt clue in to me until about two weeks ago that he was the hootie and the blowfish guy! He actually sounds really country singer-ish in that song. i was surprised, its a pretty good song i thought
