That was not an easy INT. It was also contested by the WR. Allen's never been known to pick off a lot of passes. The old adage about a CB's hands is "that's why he plays defense". Still, not catching an INT is not a reason to call for an otherwise solid cover CB to be replaced IMHO. I assumed you were talking about his play in general. A single play does not a player make.
I agree. I wasn't saying he should be replaced. It was not an easy interception (is any interception "easy" in the NFL?) all I'm saying is he was in decent position to do so -thus "not making an interception with your feet- and the reason why he didn't make it was because of his legs. It was an obvious INT because if it was going to land anywhere it would have been in his hands. Not that he "obviously" should have caught it.
You won't stop the run when you sit Jason Ferguson on the sideline. Or when your 3 D-linemen try to one gap against the run. I hated our defensive gameplan up front, and without Ferguson we can't stop squat.
We had alot of things against us today. For one Indy smashed Baltimore last week, they were our only win last yr. Cam was axed, I mean we really had alot going against us.
i think it had more to do with the fact he got one last year when we beat them. so its kinda like, rubbing it in our face.
I guess Ferguson will get Xrays and stuff and by Monday or Tuesday we'll know whether he'll play next week. Anyways, we need to draft another NT to groom.
Yes,very true bro. There Offense was very predictable too and vanilla for that matter. We did'nt do anything to warrant a win and could not stop a very basic(in your face) sort of team.I for one did not like the lack of intensity. Pitiful display by all involved. Next week we will show up,I'm sure. Let's go Dolphins!
We lost for one reason, and it was not Pennington, we lost because Ferguson got hurt and we could than not stop the run and get pressure on the QB. Ferguson is the glue to our defense, he clogs the middle and lets Crowder and the other LB's roam untouched (as in the first half). When Ferguson got hurt, the Ravens killed us on the run because the blockers got to our LB's preventing them form making plays. That is why we lost!
Allen was always a good CB with the Giants, he came to us with two weaknesses. 1. Catching the ball, which he has shown he can't do. (I don't think he should have caught that INT, the wr had his hand right in the middle of his arms) 2. A Weak tackler, which he has not shown with us, he has been solid.
I agree with Muck. It's boarderline classless imo. OCs don't get showered! We already beat the winning total he gave us last season. So what the heck was that all about?
Classless? Maybe, but if so, its on the Raven's players not Cam. The guy made mistakes yes but thats last year and he's moved on. I respect the fact that Cam hasn't said one word (Bad) about the Dolphins FO or the players. Holliday, on the other hand, did some talking but where was he in the game if the Defense is so much better and more focused as he said??? http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/football/pro/dolphins/sfl-hyde1019,0,4299241.column And from the Miami Herald We lost and to be honest I didn't see the effort that I thought we would have going against the Ravens, of all teams! I hate it that we lost but wish Cam all the best as I feel he is a class act.
He was a class act...well until he gloated on the middle of Dolphins Stadium. IMO he should have been a lot more humble if indeed he was geniune about how he felt about beating the Dolphins.
Personally I have no problem with it. I dont see anything classless in it either. The way Cameron was treated by this organization was tough to say the least. What it showed me is he has the Baltimore players on his side in a way he couldnt get Jason Taylor and others to back him up while here.
They won. So they can do whatever the F they want. I don't think they, nor their fans really care how appropriate it is as this point.
Right or wrong our organization had done some people wrong in the last couple of yrs. The two that come to mind are Dante, and Cam, and they both ended up rubbing it in our faces. But in the long run we will be a better team without them.
If we don't want to see other coaches get gateraide baths...we need to beat them. Maybe score TD's when we are in the red zone.
Yeah dude, I still want to take a baseball bat to Culpepper's knee and go all Tonya Harding on him after that Oakland game. Your sig just made me smile however.
E33...Please don't loose any more bets. Your new sig is kinda disturbing. I agree with your post also.
He didnt organize the gatorade shower not did he utter the words that provoked such ire in our fans. His team was just showing their support. We were beaten by a better team.Cam played a part of it but he is not going to receive a Nobel prize or make coach of the week for it.Mediocre coaches usually dont
