Please. Yeah, really tough to come in here and get a win. Great job overcoming the mess you contributed to. It's not Cam's fault. He didn't say anything this week. And he didn't douse himself with Gatoraid. Just rubbed me the wrong way after a loss. More miffed at the sight of it than anything else.
i think the only reason they gave him a shower was because it was in miami. i'd like to give him a good swift kick in the nvts.
Bro we lost, and it may rub some of us the wrong way, but he deserved it with the win. We couldn't do anything to stop them.
I agree. It really irritates me too. Partly in frustration from our performance today, but I thought it was kind of... classless to do. Nobody deserves that "honor" or congratulatory celebration if he coached a team to a 1 and 15 record, then is the offensive co-ordinator to beat that same team, that mess he created a year later.
Our offense was predictable and very vanilla to say the least. Henning could of done so much better with his play calling.
We couldn't stop Gary Kubiak's offense either. Or Ken Wisenhunt's offense. Gatoraid baths for them too? Those are generally reserved for a coach's first win. Or a division title. Or a Super Bowl win. Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron's team just got their third win of the season against a 2-4 team that can't stop anybody defensively. Like I said, it just bothered me seeing it.
It is all good bro. Our team didn't do enough as a team to stop them, and our coaching didn't help either today.
At one point I thought, is it last year? Quarterbacks would have field days against the Fins last year. After San Diego and New England I thought maybe that wouldn't be the case. Now, I'm not so sure.
This is exactly the point. When was the last time the OC got a gatorade shower even during a huge win? It doesn't happen, why? Because it is reserved for the HEAD COACH. The players did it today to rub it in for Miami fans and the holdovers from the team last year. Its classless and disrespectful. It is like the peed on our field again.
We new Cam was coming back to our home field again, and did we do anything to take that celebration away from him no, we came up short as a team. I am saying I don't agree with at all, but we could of eliminated this possibility if we would have opened the offense up from the get go, and not play so dang conserved.
This reminds me of the patriots doing that drop kick last year or the year before. Just disrespectful. The thing that gets me more is that the Dolphins ALLOW this kind of stuff to happen. Nobody to blame but themselves.
Agreed, it was classless. Its not like Cameron put together an All-Pro game plan. He ran the ball on 1st and 2nd downs for the most part (withouth Ferg it was more effective) and threw nice simple passes on 3rd and short, including a few screens. The Ravens put up 20 offensive points... maybe that merits a buttermilk bath, but certainly not Gatorade.
Defensively, we're still having trouble getting consistent pressure on the QB. Losing Ferguson, and Soliai last night, really hurt. The secondary still loses guys. And we forgot how to tackle today. Offensively we conceded the run today. The media loves to harp on whether the wildcat works or gets stuffed, but the point is that we simply don't have the talent to get things done conventionally. So we have to get very creative to be productive. It's not all bad. Make no mistake, we faced a monster defense today. But we've got a ways to go.
I hate those guys. They completely deserved to be the only team to lose to the 07 Dolphins. Don't get too mad. Miami will play in a playoff game before Ray Lewis and his crew ever do again.
they wanted it more. we tried the wildcat against a team that takes pride in its defense more than anything. that was dumb. this should have been the week we put the wildcat to bay. indy didnt run any trick plays against them, they just bombed it deep. oh wait....
This is true bro. Did you hear during the game what Tony was concerned with on defense? Once we made contact with the offensive players how much yards we were giving up after contact? I believe it was 150 yards a game. That needs to get improved as soon as possible, and the tackling needs to get better. If you looked at there defense compared to ours, we have a ways to go.
I don't have a problem with it honestly. It was just like when we gave Joey Harrington the shower after he won in Detroit. Cameron had a very hard time here last year...for multiple reasons. He got blasted by everyone including the players on his own team. So for him to go back to Miami and have a big part in beating the Dolphins, it had to be satisfying for him and the Ravens players knew that.
What irritates me most is that while Cameron was getting himself bathed, a stat popped up on the screen... Trent Edwards 25-29 leading Buffalo to another win. John Beck = clipholder. Now that really pisses me off more than the Gatorade shower Cameron got.
He was just talking about the game last week, but i'm sure we gave that much up in the cards game as well.
Thanks. That is still an awful lot to give up. That tells me we are still reacting rather then attacking.
Joey's situation in Detroit was different IMO. All week they were building it up in Detroit. He was the only Dolphins' offensive player introduced pregame, so the fans could boo him specifically. During the game they'd put his face on the jumbotron and start playing Piano Man (Joey plays piano). They were really laying it on him classless. The Lions organization took heat for it. Was probably harmless today. I just didn't like seeing it after a loss. Especially to that team (who have previously urinated on our field).
yep , i use to think we only needed 1 new starting CB..................Nope we need two.Now more then ever i understand why NY let WA go, cuzz he shouldn't be starting in the nfl.
Now we want to replace Will Allen? We do realize that he's been limited this week with a leg injury, right? I'm all for improving the team. But let's come back down to earth and realize that even the best players have off games.
Yep well by the time where "good again" he'll be gone. I know about his leg, but he let's BIG WR run right by him.I don't think he had an off game , i just think he's off,and he's had more off games this year then on. I still think he's are best CB and thats the sad part.
IMO unless its the coach's first win on a new team or if ur in the playoffs going to the superbowl you don't need to splash the coach. well cam not even the head coach so yeah imo it was classless act...If you wanted to show miami you are the better person or whatever you want to prove just do it by winning and thats it
Nice post Jt. I agree with you and Muck on that, but we could of stopped that from happening in our own house, and we couldn't do it brother.
Meh, his players knew that he took alot of guff here in Miami and they were showing their appreciation. No biggie IMO
I agree with you man but when you win, you get to do some things just like what they did with Cameron
**** Cam Cameron. Also, ^ another one of those to the CLASSLESS group (took up about 3-4 sections. Dolphins fans who refuse to support the team, SHAME ON YOU) from Baltimore in the 400 level. Their fans disgust me. EDIT: Yes, I am pissed at the fact that I've got to hear "Let's Go Ravens" chants in my own stadium because our fan base is garbage.
watch the play again...the Ravens receiver had his arm in between the ball and Will's body and broke it up.
I know it's not all his fault. I'm just saying a leg injury doesn't prevent you from catching balls. A WR can.
You won't stop the run when you have Jason Ferguson on the sideline. Or when your 3 D-linemen try to one gap against the run. I hated our defensive gameplan up front, and without Ferguson we can't stop squat.
Did he get hurt? Is it bad? I am serious...I didnt hear anything while I watched the game (1st half).
