The only thing that I can say to that is that the surrounding talent Ginn had last year on ST's was alot worse than what Bess has to work with this year. :wink2:

Actually, I think you mis-interpreted mine. I think Bess gives us the best average return, time in and time out.

honestly, getting to the 24 yard line consistently doesn't do anything for me. I'd rather have a guy who gets to about the 21 or 20 consistantly but every once in a while can bust one either for a TD or the 40, the 50.

    Just my .02.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the "no more bess on returns" thread? By the numbers he's not that's what he's getting at.

    EDIT

    D'oh.

And once again...Next time Ginn does that, it will be the first time :wink2:

He had 60 some returns last year....and how many did he take to the house? None, Nada, ZILCH.

Notwithstanding any TDs that got called back due to penalties that did NOT spring Ginn ;) Bess has yet to take it past 32, and I have serious doubts he ever will.

Ginn at least had a long of 52, 2 runs past 40, and this is with a team that neglected STs. Our STs have not performed that well this year but the FO has targeted the STs from day one! And we have a long of 32 yards on returns. That's outright pitiful.

Bess on PR. Ginn on KR. Bess makes people miss in short space but can't get the separation needed on KR. Ginn makes people wish they had his speed, but needs about a 10 to 15 yard build up to get to 5th gear.

    So, split duties I say.

Does every time Ginn lets the ball roll 15 yards instead of taking a fair catch get factored into his return average?
